Just curious as to what everyone is doing to get fit for their wedding date, if you guys are doing anything at all.
I'm doing Herbal Magic- lost 18lbs so far, but I'm starting to loose motivation to stay on program. I also need to start exercising!

I bought a gym membership and occasionally when I am downtown I drive past the gym and look at it. I'm sure one of these days I'll actually walk in. That said, I am watching what I eat. I don't eat bad things but I have portion control issues.
Hey Shawna,
First congrats on the weight loss! It can be very hard sometimes. I am like Lacey (portion control):( . But exercise, I think is the key!!!
In regards to fittings. First I think it all depends on your bridal shop. They told me that my final fitting would be a month to a month and a half before wedding. Give them a call though! Keep up the great work on losing weight!:bblol:
By the way, I hear so much about Herbal Magic, what exactly does the diet entale????

Yeah...I was wondering about this too.
Right now Im doing Atkins......sorta. Ive done it before and loved it, then totally blew it by going off of it completely. I KNOW I need to do something. Brian says Im "perfect" just the way I am, but I think he needs glasses. He doesnt get that Im doing this for me!

Brisk Walking I find tends to shape the lower body quickly. 30-40 mins. 3-4x aweek. Drink lots of water. helps Flushes fat out.Yogurt is also supposed to shrink belly fat. I myself do low carb. and exercise. I did herbal magic few years ago they drained me of alot of money. They didn't even tell me about there maitenece plan. Without all the pills ect. Until a new owner called to see why i quit. I said too expensive. Then told me about the other things i could have done.

Well I am already married (tried the diet when we were planning and that didn't work :() so I hope you ladies don't mind that I participate here ... I am trying to get back in shape for better health.
I was starting to walk a little but I seem to get tired really fast with that and my feet and legs hurt and swell afterwards. So I have been doing Yoga for about a week. I like it ok, but some of the poses are hard to hold ... I guess it is just because I am out of shape ;) I am also taking water pills and those weight smart vitamins.
I don't know if it is working yet but I am starting to feel better.
I have tried Atkins and South Beach and other diets before and they work in the short term if you stick to them. But they usually make me feel bad.
I am trying to eat smaller portions and eat more healthy foods ... which means I am having to cook more *bleck* and I am not eating fried foods or heavy fat foods and less sweets. I am also cutting back on sodium, for me it is mostly because of my 'elevated' blood pressure ... but salt makes you retain water so cutting back a bit could help most anyone.
I have a big sweet tooth so I am giving myself one 'bad day' where I can have something sweet ;)
I think that the key to long term weight loss and general fitness is a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.
Good luck ladies,

I hate diets. I have never tired to diet but i have at time tried changing the way I eat. Like right now. I have a sweet tooth in the mornings. I could go for donuts or funny bones etc. Right now I am eating oatmeal or cream of wheat every morning. It is brown sugar and cinnimin flavored but hey its better for me then the sweets. My bad thing is BBQ chips and mountain dew. I love them and the dew is my caffine i dont like coffee or tea.

Getting more fit for the wedding... i'm trying to cut down on the portion sizes, eat less carbs and more veggies.... i haven't done any 'diets' i'm a bit too affraid to do anything too weird.
I usually have Special K w/ Red Berries for Breakfast.... my lunches are usually terrible. At school there is no good healthy food. So usually i have a begal with cheese and tomatoe, i really should make my own lunches... and dinner.... a can of soup or i make pasta premavera.
The one thing i do that i really a big problem for me is that i eat at night. I'm a snacker.... i will graze through everything. Most of which is bad for me. Or... I will be fine until i lay down in bed and then my stomic starts grumbling for somthing. That usually ends up being a bowl or cereal or a peanut butter and jam wrap.
Once things settle down with school and work i am going to go to the gym more. The price is right and i'm already there. And they offer classes is pilates, yoga, abt, spinning... So... I'm going to give it a shot.

I can eat:
2 starches, 1 fat, 2 protiens, 1 dairy, 3 vegetables and 2 fruits per day, plus one treat. Plus you take herbal suppliments.

I bought Andrew an elliptical for Christmas because we were just wasting money spending it on a gym membership. So we've started using that and I've been trying to demonstrate some portion control! After I lose a few pounds, I also plan to start using some exercise tapes at home to tone up. (To me, it's much better than going to a gym filled with tons of people and waiting for machines!)

I want to get to the gym more, but I just haven't had the time. And with the running from job to job, I NEVER get to eat good for me food. I'm thinking the week before the wedding, I'll do something drastic...like an all liquid diet, to drop the pounds. I know that's not healthy and I probably won't do it, but it's a thought. I'm trying to control portions and I've gotten to where I make myself drink a bottle of water instead of soda at work. But I've also been eating a lot of fast food lately...because it's fast...and I can just feel it hanging onto my hips.
To tell you the truth though, I don't really care about the belly and thighs...my dress has boning and a huge skirt...I want to know what to do about my old lady arms and that extra stuff on my back that WILL show the day of. Any tips?
