seals

Ok, I want to use seals on my invitations. The wax kind not the cute ones that balance balls on their noses at the circus. (Although I love those little guys!) Anyway, I am gong a black wax with a silver glitter overlay. I can't decide on a seal though. So here are the choices. What do you girls think?

I guess I should tell you all why I went with those three. The thistle is on my mother's family's Coat of Arms. The celtic knot is because Sean is Irish. And the fleur de lis because I thought it was kind of timeless and elegant.

I like it the most..............but, seriously- you could put an elephant on it and it would still be cool...I really want to see what they are like. Do they have those at the stationers? I need to go check it out.

Personally, I like the fleur de lis ... like you said, it is timeless and elegant. But if one of the others is more personal to you then go with that ;)

If I was going to use one of the others for the reasons you mentioned, I would go with the one that represents your future husband ... to me that would make more sense. The wedding really doesn't have anything to do with your mother's family ... IMO at least. But if she is paying then that is another story ;)

I like the fleur de lis. For anyone interested in seals for your envelopes, check out the wedding aisle in Michael's. They have the wax seals that you can do yourself. I am most likely going to use them. I used to work at Michael's, so on my break I would always walk through the wedding aisle looking for ideas!
