I have some small stuff to work on, but hows that coloring working out for everyone?

WebLady

Now that you changed the "white" links at the top I like it fine :)

I like it. It looks really good. I agree the top was hard to read when it was white.

New Posts and Search look black while the rest look blue. I don't know if it's just me or not. Or if it was on purpose...

WeddingManager

Yeah I did a blue(not visited), dark gray(hover), and light gray(visited).. Im still playing around with it. As long as I get 99% of stuff worked out today, I can fine tune the forums over the week.

I think that changes as you click those links, like in regular websites; the new link is one color and when clicked on it changes.

WeddingManager
11-02-2007, 12:21 PM
Yeah thats right. Dont know if I will keep that or not. I may just go blue for all 3 types of visited links.

lizardbnorton

That makes sense. I just noticed that it was those two. I didn't think about how they normally change when you click on them.

I really like the new design. BTW I just have to say thank you for adding the spell check feature! I am a horrible speller :frogg:

It works like gmail does. So as you type in the forum box it will underline in red what you spelled wrong. Then you can right click on the word to get spelling suggestions. If you haven't noticed it, its probably cause you can spell better then I can. lol

Do you have google toolbar on your machine. It's probably that or some other toolbar that is doing it

I have the Google toolbar spell checker that does this, but I haven't noticed anything on the board like this.

huh ... so strange I noticed it a couple of days ago. LOL well whatever it is, its working out great for me.

Edit: You know I just thought you something, I have my gmail open in a separate window. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

It depends on the browser you are using for the speller to work!

I normally surf with IE; but I posted this via FireFox and I still don't see a spell checker thingy ... oh wait, I see it now; I guess FireFox must have something built in. But I don't think it is within the board.

Im a FireFox user, and it does come with an auto spellcheck when you fill in any forms. I do think their is an option or a plug-in for the forums that lets you spell check. Dont know if it came with this new version we installed the other day or not.

Firefox does in fact have it built in..it is just there..you do not need to do anything with it! As long as the site has the capability...so for this site that option just happened! :)

Love it!!!! So now people will have correct spelling, if they use firefox that is ;) That is the old English teacher in me HA HA!!!

Im just about rapped up with this first upgrade to the forums, so everything should be looking good now. If you notice anything let me know... Enjoy!

I did notice the Forum Jump pull down at the bottom isn't quite what it used to be. The text, is now blank by default (it still takes you to the right place) you just can't read where you are going unless you click the dropdown.

Wow! What a change. I kinda like the older version better. I there is a lot of white here and I have a hard time seperating between posts. And the page number at the bottom (White numbers in a blue box) are hard to read.
I'm all up for a new design though! Maybe it's just cause I'm so tired though that I'm having a hard time reading it. It seems like everyone else is doing good!

There may be a few minor tweeks to work out still.

I like the brighter new deal; the main site will have the same basic look once the makeover/updates are done there too :)

I think it looks great just need the text color in the drop down box.

I think it all looks great - but at one point yesterday you had the background a kind of dark grey, and I thought that made the boards look less "washed out". One thing that kind of bugs me is the white in the center background (forums) and the very light pink on the edges. It kind of distracts my eye.
Then again I mostly browse at night so my eyes must be more sensitive to the light colors.

But overall I like it better than the old skin :)

I love the new look, it took a little adjusting to. I especially love the spell check, it's awesome!
