I am a huge U2 fan and have been for awhile. I donlt know if you FH goes for that punk/bluesy sound. I know that I am using "All I Want is You", "beautiful Day", and "Miracle Drug" at points through our wedding. If that won't fly with him check over these.

"Alison" (Elvis Costello)
"All I Want Is You" (U2)
"As" (Stevie Wonder)
"Blood Of Eden" (Peter Gabriel)
"Crash" (Dave Matthews Band)
"Everything I Do" (Brandy)
"Forever in My Life" (Prince)
"Heroes" (David Bowie)
"Ice Cream" (Sarah MacLachlan)
"If I Was Your Girlfriend" (Prince)
"In Your Eyes" (Peter Gabriel)
"Iris" (Goo Goo Dolls)
"It Must Be Love" (Madness)
"Kiss Me" (Sixpence None The Richer)
"Kissing You" (from William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet)
"Love Song" (The Cure)
"Like Someone In Love" (Bjork)
"Luna" (Smashing Pumpkins)
"Night & Day" (U2)
"Nothing Compares To You" (Sinead O'Connor)
"She" (Elvis Costello)
"Somebody" (Depeche Mode)
"Stay By Me" (Annie Lennox)
"Tonight, Tonight" (Smashing Pumpkins)
"Waste" (Phish)
"Wild Horses" (The Sundays)
"Wild Is The Wind" (David Bowie)
"You Are The Everything" (R.E.M.)
"You're Just Too Good To Be True" (Lauryn Hill)
"You're The Best Thing" (Style Council)

"All Of My Love" (Led Zeppelin)
"Angie" (The Rolling Stones)
"Beth" (Kiss)
"Feels So Right" (Alabama)
"Head Over Feet" (Alanis Morissette)
"Hold My Hand" (Hootie & The Blowfish)
"Honestly" (Stryper)
"How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You" (James Taylor)
"I Am Yours" (Derek & The Dominoes)
"I Don't Want to Live Without You" (Foreigner)
"I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" (Aerosmith)
"I Only Want To Be With You" (Hootie & The Blowfish)
"Love Of A Lifetime" (Firehouse)
"Love Song" (Tesla)
"Love Will Keep Us Alive" (The Eagles)
"Maybe I'm Amazed" (Paul McCartney & Wings)
"May This Be Love" (Jimi Hendrix)
"Open Arms" (Journey)
"Release" (Pearl Jam)
"Samba Pa Ti" (Santana)
"Search Is Over" (Survivor)
"Solid As A Rock" (Ashford & Simpson)
"Something To Talk About" (Bonnie Raitt)
"Sweet Melissa" (Allman Brothers Band)
"Thank You" (Led Zeppelin)
"Time After Time" (Cyndi Lauper)
"Time In A Bottle" (Jim Croce)
"True Companion" (Marc Cohn)
"We Belong" (Pat Benatar)
"When You Love A Woman" (Journey)
"Wild Horses" (The Rolling Stones)
"You Got To Let Love Rule" (Lenny Kravitz)
"You're My Best Friend" (Queen)

Disclaimer: I stole these lists from www.*******.com. I did NOT compile them myself. I love rock and roll. That said I would also like to note that I am WAY too cool to every include music by Journey on any list of potential songs that anyone would use for anytime in their lives. Journey sucked in the 80's and tragically did not age well. Thank you.

That Music man song is ok...........:cool2:. It's one of those Journey songs you can sing in the car....alone.....with the windows rolled up..........on a deserted road. But nontheless it's an ok song;)

Thats cool Lacey... I was wondering about what songs we wanted to play... that gave me some good ideas. I really like Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls and Tonight Tonight by Smashing Pumpkins.... Hmmmmm we'll have to sit down and listen to some of these songs soon.

Thanks!

Man, I saw this post and I was like "Yeah, rock and roll!" But you guys just about said everything I would have thought of ;) The only one I can think of that I didn't notice was this "Don't want to miss a thing" - Aerosmith

Once I saw a wedding where they had someone sing that "I wanna grow old with you" song from that Adam Sandler movie "The Wedding Singer" It made me cry ;)
