Someone had a "how to" up some time ago about this that I just fell in love with! However, we can't find Maple leaves around here very well. The few trees I have seen were still green at the end of last month.
Anyhow, we were in the park and I made a "rose" out of whatever these red leaves fell off of. It's not as purty as the maple ones, but it was a decent example. It really IS easy :D *glee*
I might get a buddy in Canada that is going to be in the wedding to collect maple leaves and preserve them. It'd be a unique (not to mention cheap) alternative to flowers for the wedding party.

Alright the original post was by lizardbnorton, and the link was to this:

You can see how the Maple Leaves make them nice and plump!

And again, it really wasn't difficult. A lot of folding and rolling. Thanks for all the lovely comments ladies!
I loooooooooooooove that.
Was it hard?
Wow, just when I think I know what I want, I find another great idea.

We did some of out bouts like that for our wedding. I ended up going with silk leaves and flowers since I could make them so far in advance. But they looked great I got a lot of compliments on them!

I was going to say the same. Unfortunately, most of our "prettier" leaves are down now or I would have offered to mail you some.

Those are very pretty. It would be great for a fall wedding. I love how you make them out of leaves. I would like to have them for my wedding but I'm having a summer wedding.

I really can't say it enough times, but as mentioned earlier...this is EASY! All you do is fold in half and tightly roll the first leaf. Then fold and roll the others a bit looser and wrap them around the first. I think I used five leaves in all.
I didn't tie or secure this one as it was just a sill example while we were out in the park. But I imagine that wouldn't be rough, heh.

You know what? You could use green leaves for a spring time wedding. I think that would be pretty too, and unique!
