Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest

OK everyone, with Halloween right around the corner we thought it would be fun to do a Halloween theme contest!

As the title states; this contest will be about pumpkin carving. So; get out your pumpkins and carving tools and post your best work!

We will be excepting contest entries through the end of the month and then we will choose 4 of the best ones and vote from the top 4 to come up with a grand prize winner. The winner will get a $50 cash (via PayPal) prize!

This must be something you and/or your family did on their own; not something you found online and not something you bought already carved. You will have to show pictures of the before and after. And have someone take a picture of you with your pumpkin. Also, explain a little bit about how it was done.

And of course it has to be carved, we can't accept those painted ones ;)

So have fun; I can't wait to see everyones cool pumpkins :D

We aren't carving this year because in our apartment we have NO where to put them, not even a balcony. So instead we're painting smaller ones for the window.

Cute pumpkins, Ladies!! I'm impressed! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

Bruce & I stopped on our way home on Tues. and got a big pumpkin. We had Kaelie with us and the lady gave her a free pumpkin AND a sheet of stickers so she could decorate the face. She had so much fun on the way home. I'll have to get a pic and show ya!!

Now, who is not only going to have the best pumpkin...but how about the worst??? (Can I enter that one?)

Yes, you can use a pattern, you just have to do the carving work yourself ;)

I was going to do mine that way too...by the end of it, I wished I would have.

I actually broke out two big chunks on accident trying to carve all the way through. I just fixed them so it looked like they didn't fall out. :bblol:
