I was just browsing, and not all of the threads here are about invitations, it might be cool to put all the finished DIYs here for inspiration for the rest of us, with a link to the thread where you explained all you did :) Sort of an easier DIY index :)

Can I play? Mine aren't really traditional wedding invitations, since we're essentially throwing a surprise wedding, but I love them anyway. They will be in matching distressed envelopes.

Do I DIY?! LOL I am a DIY queen! I'll try just about anything!

To be fair .... Hugh did the invites. I just found that embossed velum and knew that I wanted to use it somehow. I did a whole slew of other stuff (clerical stoles, church banners, church decorations ....)for my wedding. You can see the rest of the decorations etc. here if you are interested - http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=2693

The spiral decoration was a chore but I love how it turned out :)

Our minister has moved to a different church and our minister friends also have their own churches so I can't say for sure, but do I hope they still wear the stoles for weddings and "spring" services. The banners do get put up in our church during the spring.

Here are mine!! They weren't 100% DIY, as I ordered the black pocketfolders already put together, but I printed out what I wanted on the pink cardstock, then took them to be printed and cut, then put it all together, attached the ribbon and tied it! Let me know if anybody wants more details. I loved them and got so many compliments on them.

These aren't the final version - but the latest one I had a picture of. I ended up changing fonts, wording, etc.

Here is the pic of our finished invite. We made the entire thing ourself. They weren't hard, but quite time consuming. Bruce helped me by punching the holes and doing some of the gluing.

Here were mine. They were DIY and took forever!! The RSVP was postcard size, so the guests were able to mail them in by themselves.

Here is the invite that I have come up with. It turned out better then I thought it would. I was going to tie a bow on the top but played around with it and ended up loving this way.

can anyone suggest a good place to purchase pocket folders ?? FH isnt sold on the idea---- in fact, hes dead set on not having anything that isnt ivory silver and black (OUR COLORS ARE RED BLACK AND IVORY) on a plain piece. i have to admit i love what he and i came up with but maybe he would go for the pocket folds if i promise to keep the plain paper as the main thing :)

Here's a good one:

This is where I got mine from. It was the cheapest I found and I was very pleased with the quality and the service. I got TONS of compliments on mine, and the main part of my invite was pretty plain. My cousin (who is like 12) even told me that she made her mom put it away somewhere so when she got married they could do they could use mine for inspiration! It was so sweet
