I felt bad stealing that thread so I thought I would continue it here.

I know you mentioned you didn't want to do pumpkins but check these out:

I really like this idea! They are pretty cheap too and if you have space to have a garden they are easy to grow.

I think I got this photo from you originally? right?

The girl who made them said she just used water for the liquid.

Ok I have just a few more:

I like this alot too. Picture the greenery as silk leaves though:

These would look good too with fall colors in them:

Yay!! Thank you so much Becky. You are the best, I love ya girl! I like a lot of those candles for centerpieces. Yes that one candle picture I had given you. I looked into how to make them and wasn't having much luck. I tried a couple mixtures and the leaves just wouldn't float right. The only way that worked was the stuff you use for flowers. But that is so expensive! I'll have to show Steve those pictures tomorrow and see what he thinks. I'll have to go through my stuff and see what pictures I have to post. Thanks for starting this thread!

Hey -

I love these images. Are you all just googling by images? What is your method? The idea incorporating pumpkins is GREAT- but I don't know how much I want to associate my wedding with halloween itself.

Thoughts?

Thanks
-Lauren

Weclome to the boards Lauren! And congratulation on your engagement! This is a great place to come and get ideas. Everyone here is EXTREMELY helpful!
We search just about everywhere to find picture. Go to google and search fall wedding, you will find lots of sites with ideas and pictures. When is your wedding date? You said you want a halloween style wedding, right? That should be fun! Becky and I are both having fall weddings and Becky is great at finding anything anyone is looking for.

I love this idea. I too am having a fall themed weeding. My fiance and I are getting married on October 7 of this year. I am on a budget and I;m pretty crafty so I'll do most of the decorations myself but I need ides. Are those silk leaves in the glass with the candle on top, and how do they stay at the bottom?

I thought since I have read so much about some of you, I would tell you about me. I am 22, my fiance is 23. His name is Eric. We have been together since my Senior year of High School, January of 2001. This past summer we went to Gatlinburg. We got there on Friday, June 22. We drove around when we first arrived then decided to go check into the hotel. We got settled and I hopped in the shower. I got dressed and sat on the bed to watch tv while he got ready. We were so exhausted from the long drive. Well I sat there for a few minutes then he said to me, "Andrea, I can't wait anymore, and he got on the floor and out of his pocket he pulled a little box as he said on one knee, "Will you marry me?" I wasin pure shock. I had absolutely no idea, usually when he's up to something I at least know he's got something up his sleeve. But I said, and i wish I had thought more about the words that were coming out of my mouth but like I said, I was in shock! I said, "What the ****, are you serious? Oh my God! Well- yeah! Of couse, and I hugged him and started to cry. He kicked him self for the rest of the weekend, he said he really wanted to wait till we were up on the mountain, but he had the ring for a week and it was killing him not to ask! We enjoyed the rest of the weekend and finally set a date. Fall is our favorite time of year and the weather is not too hot and not too cold. We live in south-eastern Ohio so we have pretty mild weather! We're hoping for an outside wedding, and an indoor reception. We already have the place booked. It is a park lodge with a gazebo. We can have the wedding inside the lodge if the weather gets bad but I really want to have it at teh gazebo. Eric isn't much of a romantic so it meant alot that he surprised me the way he did. I never in a million years thought he would have asked me that day but he did and I wouldn't have had it any other way! We're getting married during the day on October 7 of this year and I am so excited. I can't believe how much Nikki and I have in common so far, same weeding datem same wedding theme, very similar dress. I think it was hers that I saw, Davids Bridal, satin, corset back? Anyway, it's very nice to be a part of this website, I don't feel like I'm the only one who is obsessed with my wedding plans!

Welcome to the boards Andriella! Yes we share the same date theme, and I do have that dress! I can't wait to see more of your ideas. We love pictures here! Everyone here is very helpful too so don't be afraid to ask for help! A great thing to do is start a journel on this site to keep track of your ideas. It also always other to comment and help out with the planning. Good luck with the planning and welcome to the boards!!! Hey, only 8 mos and 3 weeks to go!

Oh, my goodness! I got a chill when I read 8 months and 3 weeks to go. Thanks, I will definitely start a journal I have most of my stuff on an Excell booklet. I have tons of pictures of hair styles and invitations. I have some pretty good ideas for decorations that double as party favors. I am thinking about spreading hershey kisses on the tables. They start coming out with the fall colored wrappers in September so that'll be great timing! I also thought about using autumn coloerd decorative marbles in glass bowls or vases with a floating candle for centerpieces. I'll post some pictures later, they're on my home computer. Congratulations, by the way, and I look forward to planning with you guys!!!!

First of all welcome. It sounds like you have everthing planned out. You think over 8 months is bad try being just under 5 months and no where near as ready as I should be. And cant do anything till next month. Good luck and again welcome.

A fall themed wedding should have lots of Warm, Rich, Colors ... orange, reds, purples, browns, gold and yellows, etc ... Create the feeling of those romantic nights by the fire *wink*

You could also incorporate hay, pumpkins, leaves, cornucopias, etc .. Here is some fall stuff I found:

Well, I guess that is all for now since we can only post 4 pics in a message.

Good luck ladies.
