What is your favorite holiday food?
I like the turkey and mash potatoes and all, but I love dessert. I usually make a key lime pie (no, not really holiday) and a rum cake over the holidays.
I am not a fan of the pumpkin stuff, so ;)

I'm so glad you started this thread. I LOVE the holidays, and I LOVE FOOD!! :)
Stuffing and mashed potatoes are at the top of my list, although I do love pumpkin pie drowning in whipped cream.
I love Christmas cookies! Not to mention the turkey dinner, with stuffing! Yum! oh i am hungry now!

O shesh, you mean I should have a favorite?? I love just about everything except the stuffing! Thanksgiving Day I am in heaven eating all the yummy food. Although, I have to say, Christmas is all about the cookies for me. I am the family Cookie Monster!

Forget the turkey, Christmas and Thanksgiving just aren't "right" without sausage stuffing and cranberry sauce!
LOL DH had never even heard of sausage stuffing before he met me. If he is making the stuffing, I always ask "there is sausage in there right? because it's just not good enough if there isn't"

My favorites are my Grandma's Squash Casserole and my mama's stuffing!! Mmmmmmm ... Delicious!!!
I love stuffin' and gravy, but I won't be able to eat it at the family's this year because of the chicken broth. I'll have to make my own at home to get my fix! I love to eat the stuffing with fresh homemade cranberry sauce. No canned stuff! I always make some with fresh cranberries, citrus, walnuts, and spices. Homemade rolls can't be missed either. And unlike Brandi, I can't get enough pumpkin desserts. Oh oh and wassail too. See you got me going and now I can't stop!! :frogg:

Being From A Cajun Family We Have Gumbo, Grandma Makes 2 Kinds, So We Dont Have A Turkey Or Any Of That Stuff. Thats My Fav. Sweet Potatos Are The Yummest. Now Fh's Family Does The "normal" Feast And I Love Love Love His Sisters Home Made Mashed Potatos... I Just Love Potatos Any Way I Can Get Them.
My favorite is the stuffing, corn and gravy! I love stuffing...the corn and gravy just enhance it. lol
I also love to make lots of cookies, gingerbread houses, and homemade rolls. They are alll so much fun to do.

Where is Frenchie? Do you practice reveillon; tortierre, midnight mass, the whole thing or is that just a French Canadian thing?
