The spinning dancer made me think of this. I love optical illusions. So I thought I'd post a few. Feel free to add any you find!

A cartoonist named W.E. Hill in 1915 first published this drawing. It's hard to see what it's supposed to be.
Is it a drawing of a pretty young girl looking away from us? Or is it an older woman looking down at the floor?
Well, it's both. The key is perception and what you expect to see.
Here's a hint: The young girl's necklace is the older woman's mouth. The young girl's chin and jaw are the older woman's nose.

Keep staring. This is one scary optical illusion. Keep looking, it might take up to a minute, but it'll look like she's opened her ghoulish eyes and is staring right at your soul!

I love these two! Thanks for sharing!
The first time I looked at the lady "looking away" I saw the old lady in it. Now I can't! Those are very cool!

How many legs does this elephant have? 4? 5? 6?

The last one wasn't too odd to me. I saw the ghoul eyes right away instead of seeing that her eyes could have been "closed."
I like to observe who sees what in the "multiple image" type ones :). For instance I saw the young lady first, Dani saw the old one. Just interesting to study people's perceptions.

I saw the young lady first. It took me forever to see the old one.
I'll try to find some more multiple image ones for you guys ;)

Do you see the man or woman? Or do you see both? Or are there THREE people in this picture. If you are missing it, the man is the brown moustache. The woman is looking to the left and you can see here eye and nose protrude from the left part of the image. There is also another face - the woman's chin is the nose for this third face, and the wrinkle in the womans neck is the mouth.

The face is usually the first thing that you see, then if you look a little longer, you see what appears to be a bundled up woman doing some window shopping. Or is it an eskimo painting their igloo?

Here is another artists drawing of the young woman/old woman optical illusion. This one has a little more detail, but it's something you could try to imitate yourself if you just remember the basics: The old woman's eye is the young woman's ear. The old woman's wart is the young woman's nose, and the old womans nose is the young woman's chin. Easy enough right? This optical illusion goes down in the history books for being one of the most recognized optical illusions, and should be included in any reports about the history of optical illusions!
