I have been drying lavender to make little bags as gifts for the ladies giving me my shower...Do you think they are fine in just the organza bag with something on the outside? Like these...

Absolutely!! Just make sure they're not overwhelmingly fragrant once you have them all together -- might make people not hungry to eat if it's too strong. Unless that's what you want. LOL :D

HA HA!!! Thanks!!!

They are part of a gift for the two giving me the shower, so they will be away from the food!

Not sure if you've got your lavender yet, but www.atlanticspice.com (http://www.atlanticspice.com) (my mom's store, hope that's not spammy) sells it in bulk by the lb for cheap. If you're doing it in bags for the scent and not the color you can go with the cheaper lavender. Also, they sell lavender essential oil to drop a couple in each bag to make the scent last longer.

They also sell rose boutons and dried rose petals in bulk (as well as all kinds of teas, spices and other potpourri ingredients).

Where are you getting the lavender from? I've been looking for loose lavender to make my own relaxation stuff.

Edit: Maybe I should try reading the whole thread! Thanks for the link casseopia.
