Hey Becky.....Can you help me with something? I have a new idea for favors but cant find any pics to back it up. I was going to get some of those small (not the itty bitty ones) plastic wine glasses and fill them with something (have no idea what) and use some of the personalized ribbon to make a bow at the bottom of the stem. I need to have whatever is in the glass wrapped (I guess) I dont know if with tulle or plastic wrap stuff. I can see this so vividly in my head, but am having the hardest time describing it. Please tell me you get what Im trying to say? Thanks!
Hi Cindy,
Don't mean to but in on conversation, what about hershy's kisses? Alot of people use the almonds.....i like chocolate better. You can go to a craft store/dollarstore and by tule in round pieces(maybe 10-20 to a pack??), lay a few on the circle and gather/maybe tie with ribbon. Then cut some square pieces of clear cellophane and wrap the outside of the tule, and put in the small wine glasses!! I love your idea!

I couldn't find any others that weren't the same thing that I already posted.
BTW: My brother had these for favors at his wedding. They put jordan almonds in them. I like those personalized M&M's. The kisses are cute too. You could put a little tag on them that says: kisses from the new Mr. & Mrs.

I just have to figure out what to do with them! I think Im going to change the ribbon to a turquoise one, so I can stay with the colors.

The champagne glasses are going to be separate from the bells though right?

Hey you could put the bells in a basket or something on the table where the guest book is. The guests can grab on on their way into the reception and you could save some room on the tables. Then put the champagne glass favor on the tables. Or you could put them both on the tables.

I was thinking of doing the opposite. I was only going to make about 25 of the favors because theres not going to be that many women there. If I put THEM on the tables, Ill have to make 1 for each seat. (right?) I will have 50 of the bells so I could sit them in the plates on the tables that way EVERYBODY can have one of those.
Would that work? Or does it sound stupid?

No that doesn't sound stupid at all. I didn't think of it that way but it does make more sense.
But how will you arrange it so the women know they are for them? I can see some men goin "Mmmm candy" and grabbing one as his wife signs the book for both of them:bblol: Then she grabs one too as they go to their seats.
Just a thought.
Don't forget the kiddies too cause if there is candy involved they are probably going to want one too.:D

There will be a bowl filled with candy too, just for the people that just want a few pieces. I thought about making sachets with potpourri in them and sitting those in the glasses.
If it smells pretty, a guy probably wont touch it.

What if instead of candy you put little soaps in them? Then they'd definitely be a women only thing...
As far as candy goes...what about the pastel blue m&ms they put out around spring time...or pastel any color m&ms. That's what we're going to put in our favors...and our weddings are less than a month from Easter, so we can catch them on sale after Easter! Just a thought.
Oh, I also know you were doing opal...what about tissue paper around the candy? You know the kind that's white, but kind of shimmery so it goes with the opal thing...
Third times a charm...I love the idea!
