My mother is getting married in may, and I'm trying to plan this for her. I am making the dresses for us, and the wedding is going to be on the beach. It's a very simple wedding. I was wondering if any of you had websites I could go to for ideas for the wedding dress. She wants it light, flowy, and simple. No beads, nothing extravagant...Please help...

I would try a simple white dress from J. Crew or JcPenney or Sears...those are the best places to start!! Good luck!!

Try looking at different patterns online, like McCalls or something. There are books in the fabric stores and some of them have some beautiful and simple dresses.

I love the beach wedding thing, that is what I had originally wanted to do.
Here are a few dresses that would be great for a beach wedding ...

I agree...then you could modify the fabric to what you're mother likes...it gives her more flexibility and takes quite a bit of worry off of you. Good luck!

I love this dress too :D It is similar to the one I wore but mine was plain, with no pattern and it was linen. Then I wore a linen shirt over it 'cause I had 'arm issues'
Anyway, here is the site I found it on - http://www.lavahut.com/dress_nohea.htm
FYI - For most of the pics I post, you can right click on them and go to 'Properties' and find the website where it game from *wink*
:goodluck:

I think it's so sweet and beautiful that you are doing this for your mother. What a wonderful memory you mom will have knowing that her daughter did all this for her.
You are a wonderful daughter.
