Starting an Online Business??

I have been thinking about starting a small online business creating custom photo invitations and announcements. I am a Prof. & Tech. Communications major and my interest is design- I have taken a few design courses and they are my favorite.

I am not looking to get rich, just hopefully gain some experience and make a little extra money while doing something that I enjoy.

I have made a few samples and started a simple website to showcase my designs.

I know there are a lot of people who do this. Is it even worth trying? Would you or someone you know consider buying these kinds of products? How would I actually sell my product? (PayPal? eBay Store?)

That sounds like a great idea! I do a lot of freelance on the side. Mostly corporate work, but if you have any questions just let me know. I get most of my work from Craigslist and through referrals. You can look at etsy.com too sell your products. Would you be designing them and printing them? It can be scary going out on your own for the first time. I have a full time design job that gets the bills paid though :)
