During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director how do you determine whether or not a patient should be institutionalized.

'Well,' said the Director, 'we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.'

'Oh, I understand,' said the visitor. 'A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup.'

'No.' said the Director, 'A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?'

I am pleased to report that my first thought, while reading that was "why the heck wouldn't they just pull the plug?!!"

LOL come on .... fess up ... how many of you thought that you would choose the bucket?

I would have most likely asked for the bucket and then half way through pulled the plug when I remembered it.

I always try to look for the "catch" in these things. It's like another old one I used to hear a lot:

You are in a cold dark cabin out in the woods. You only have one match left. There is a stove, a lantern, and a fireplace. Which do you light first?

you don't bury survivors...that was one of my favs when I was little!!!
