Random thoughts and ideas after seeing the "Goldfish in a Bag" soaps on another thread.

I found this very cute website for molds!

They have toys you can embed and the like as well:

The snow globe ones could be really cute for winter favors.

Hehe, not sure it's something we are going to do, just an idea. And thought it'd make a good "conversation" around here.

The Popcorn Soap is so cute! On the first links I gave there are TONS of rubbe duckies and ways to put them in the "pond" soap mold. I love the ones that look like reindeer, hehe.

So long as some poor child didn't bite into it! Or, knowing my family, one of the "big" kids.

And yes that as another of my thoughts, that it's something people would use ^-^

I am also most amused with the fishies xD FH and I are major aquarium nerds. However, I can't really justify working said fishies into a fall or winter theme, haha!

On the note of price. You can get bulk glycerin soap fairly cheap, and if you aren't making too many it wouldn't be too bad :). I used to do soap molding and stuff, it's actually a lot like candle making :D.

Popsicle so cute!

Measha, how about incorporating like fall leaves or acorns into the glycerin. Just trying to help ya. I know that our wedding has nothing to do with chinese symbols, but our candy boxes are little chinese take out food boxes, mainly because my FH fav food is chinese... if you want goldfish, use goldfish. Who said everything had to match... ya know

I can just picture it now:

Guest: "Goldfish?"

Me: "Don't you know? That is no ordinary golfish! That is the elusive Fall Karp of Joy! Celebrated in the Orient for bringing health and long life to new marriages! These magnificent wonders are only spotted late in Autumn, haven't you heard?"

Guests: "Oooooh! Aaaah!"

---------------------------------------

At this site I can get 40 lbs of the soap for $60, I can get baggies, twisty ties and fish for about $14.95 through various places.

http://www.esoapsupplies.com/glycerin_soap.htm

That's about $0.52 for each favor, and it'd make 144 with a bit of soap left over. Might add ribbon ties instead of twisty, not sure how much that would add on to price, but not much ^-^. Maybe little cards with a phrase.
