Im getting extremely agitated!!!!!!! They cancelled one of my orders I placed yesterday! The one for these luminaries:
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b364/Cindysue3132/luminaries.jpg
Becky had helped me find them for only $14.00, but that site only takes Visa or Mastercard and I have an American Express card. Every other site has the for $25.00 or higher. I dont really like having to pay almost double for these things but these are the ones we want!!!
LizabethDavis
01-11-2006, 10:26 AM
How many of those do you need? That is really too bad!
CindySue
01-11-2006, 10:28 AM
They come in packs of 25, and thats all I really need. 12 on each side leading up to the arch.....and of course the one I plan to play with when I get them!
LizabethDavis
01-11-2006, 10:29 AM
So, you get 25 of them for $14.00? What site do you go to?

http://www.weddingsolutions.com/wedding_store/index.php/cPath/76_34/sort/2a/page/3
here is a link but you have to go back a page to page 2, they are at the bottom. I cant get them from here because I have the wrong credit card.
LizabethDavis
01-11-2006, 10:33 AM
Do you have anyone with the right card that you can use and then pay them back?
CindySue
01-11-2006, 10:35 AM
Well yeah, but we put our wedding fund on a "gift card", There are no fees or interest. They only take off what you pay for. We did it because it was easier than opening an account up at the bank just for the wedding. We were trying to get out of paying interest charges and all that.

Hold on Cindy I think I found some cheaper than $25 when I was looking. Let me look and I'll get back to you.;)
ETA: It may take me a little while. I just had Dan dye my hair and it's time to rinse!:D
CindySue

Ok......now Im confused. I got back on the Wedding Solutions Website. I didnt look at it much yesterday except to try and place an order and got to the credit card part and had to stop. Well I really want to save money here if i can. I went to their FAQ and IT SAYS THEY TAKE AMERICAN EXPRESS!!! I sent them an email telling them what I was wanting, what the deal was with the credit card and asking them what i should do.
With shipping and everything, these are only right at $18.00. If I go anywhere else, Its going to be close to $40 with shipping. I could use that $20 to buy other wedding stuff with!

That's really strange Cindy. I wonder what the problem is then..???

Ok.....I called them and the order is PLACED!!! :ura1: The lady was really really, sweet and she explain that only a couple of their shops use AmEx. But she told me to put it through as a Visa card, saying that there has been people do that and it work. I did and it took it. I have even checked my balance on the card, and its has been debitted $17.95.
I feel so much better knowing I got these things at the cheaper price.
It was weird how that worked out.:detective: I placed this order yesterday and was going to pay $39, because i didnt think I could get them at the cheaper price. That order didnt go through, so I get to checking around today and end up spending $22 less on the EXACT same thing. Hmmmmmmmmm? I guess Someone is looking out for me!

Cindy, I'm glad that order worked out for you. I know I am always looking for the cheaper route to get the stuff. I have heartbroken when Oriental Trading got rid of the favors I wanted. They were the cheapest place I could find them. Everywhere else was WAY to expensive.

Oh gosh yes Jenn...It was so weird. I was there with my family and it was the first time we had been to Canada. We stayed there for like 4 days and 3 nights...Poo. Wish I could remember where...It was a nice hotel with a pool and a small amusement park attached to it..I'll have to call my dad and ask where it was...but anyway. We went to McDonalds to get something to eat and just about died. Luckily, the nicer restaurants weren't the same.

I think the closest border crossing for me is a half hour away and I have only gone to canada maybe 3 or 4 times in my whole life. We used to go to the duty free shop every couple weeks to get FH's cigarettes. But we don't anymore.

No offence taken!
Some parts of Canada has great weather. It's weird here now. Normally its cold and snowy. But today it was above freezing and rainning. I walked home from school with a knitted sweater w/o long sleeve underneith and my puffy vest and i wasn't cold. It hasn't been too cold yet.
The summers are discustingly hot in Toronto. There is so much humidity, then all the smog! Bleh! I hate it when there is no breeze to carry some of it away. You come over a hill and you can see the haze looming above the downtown.
I have yet to see Niagra Falls in the winter. I really want to go. Mark is thinking he might take me in Feb (after the Valentines Day mad rush).

I remember being there my senior year of high school on a school trip with Chad Lamp. Our culture club took a weekend trip to Toronto to see "Phantom of the Opera." I didn't think there could be anything better or more romantic that walking arm and arm with him in this huge foreign city. (I hadn't travelled a lot at that point yet.) God does that bring back a lot of warm and fuzzy memories from a very long time ago.

To me it didnt seem slike I was out of the country. I walked there lol.

I went to school for two years in Sault Ste. Marie Michigan which is deadsville compared to SSM, Canada (a five minute jaunt over the bridge...except for when customs was tight). We used to hang out there all the time. The best thing about Canadian McD's is the pizza! That stuff is good! Don't worry Gwen, I missed out on everything for the last couple of days because of work.
I'm glad you were able to get your luminaras Cindy! They are very pretty!
What were you going to get for your favors Nikki? Maybe we can find them for cheaper somewhere...we're good at that. :)

Unfortunately you can't find pizza at McDonalds anymore here in Canada....must have been a long time since you came here, I don't think we've had it in over ten years!! I don't really remember it much because I was just a kid about 8 when we did have it! (I lived in Ontario at the time so I'm not even sure they had it out west.) And McDonalds fries are the thing that do it for me!! YUMM!

I had found votive candle holders that had leaves one them. I could also have gotten our names and the wedding date on them. When I had e-mailed them they said they were getting more around thanksgiving. I E-mailed them at Christmas and they said they never got more and only had that 1 or 2 boxes left.
WAIT!! McDonalds sells pizza in Canada? Ok, that does it, I need to make a road trip to Canada to check this out. Any of you ladies want to meet up while I'm there? (And I'm serious too!)

Stop by and pick me up! I'm on the way!
What about making your own votive holders with leaves and stuff on them? I see small votive holders for about a dollar everywhere and then you could by some nice stickers or something. OR maybe just some nice votive holders with some nice candles in a mesh bag or wrapped in tulle...maybe you could get little leaves to close the bag or the tulle off with...or put some leave confetti in with the candle holder! I bet that would look really nice! I know, not what you fell in love with, and having been the one who went haywire when someone said I couldn't have what I fell in love with, I really know how sad it is to not get what you want. Good luck! Maybe you could try an enscriblio and draw your own leaves on votive holders.

I've been thinking about just getting plain ones and wrapping them in tulle. Still not sure though. I bought little leaf charms a while ago that I could tie around them too. Oh, and I will definatly be checking out Michaels for those candles if that's what I decide to go with.
