Okay i saw this in a magazine (with fh in the hospital this week i bought all the bridal magazines known to man!!)

It is like the size of a mason jar and on the bottom is Sugar (loose and packed very tight to the bottom of the jar) and then like 2 small lemons to fit perfectly on top of the sugar and then a little scooper or maybe persnalized plstic spoon (saw these on ebay) - and the jar is decorated pretty- :) Then you put a lemonade recipe in there or on top of the jar and its pretty!!!

Perfect for a DIY wedding favor- i figure them to be pretty cheap too- Here we have a place calld Penn Dutch that has liek 5 lemons for a dollar - that would take care of 2 or so favors and the sugar could be bought in bulk :)

I just thought it fun for an outside summer wedding :)

Homemade lemon aid is so tasty too... even throwing some vodka in it.. haha... Good find! Find anything that you could do like that for an autumn wedding, like cider or cocoa???

I haven't tried the recipes, just did a google search and its what I found. Have you considered caramel apples that would be perfect for an autumn wedding. If you make them yourself they could be pretty inexpensive.

Okay- i see your doing the candy buffet with some homemade chocolate stuff too- i recently decided to add something homemade to the candy buffett im using too and i found a recipe for some truffles!! The batch makes about 50 truffles and you can add different toppings to them like crushed butterfinger or pecans or caramel. Apparently, they are very easy and i am going to do a test run soon and see about doing a couple hundred for our candy buffet- also truffles are great cold so you can make them ahead of time. just thought i would give you another idea for homemade items.!!

There are some good liquor flavored truffles on this site http://www.recipegoldmine.com/candytruffle/truffle.html

I've tried the champagne truffles and they were yummy. I think I'm gonna try to make the chocolate Jack Daniels truffles next
