OK so halloween is on it's way and if you are anything like me, you are trying to find ideas for your kids or yourself, the day before. So, I thought we might post ideas & pics of fun and unique costumes that we have seen.
DH ran across this one while surfing the web this morning. This is just too cute but I am not sure how this little guy is supposed to carry his loot!

That is just too adorable! Maybe make some armholes? I'm not sure we'll be dressing up this year, but it's tradition that I go trick-or-treating with my nephew, whom is now 4 years old. He's going to be a Power Ranger and the suit has a little built in muscle chest and everything. It's SO cute!
I do miss getting to dress him up in "cutesier" things. Last year he insisted on being Spider Man, because when I suggested the Cowardly Lion he says, "Auntie, that's just not cool."

These are what my teenage 17 year old wanted to be. I think not. We will be doing something similar but not near as provocative. Would you let your 17 year old wear these?

Was my thoughts on it as well. haha. I told her we would buy a nice yellow shirt maybe a little scooped neckline and I could buy the flag material (i have seen it at walmart) and sew it down the sides of the sleeves. Get her a cute skirt or shorts in yellow and do the same on them. same on socks as well. She agreed to it though and is actually looking forward to seeing it. I told her if she dressed that way to pass out candy I might as well stick a red light bulb in the porch light. lol.

I haven't decided yet... I'm still shopping, but I think I have it narrowed down to either a Geisha (an FH will be a Ninja)....
http://www.yandy.com/Images/Products/9378Full.jpg
Or a vampire (I'll put that costume together on my own... black corset, capelet, long black skirt, high heeled boots, fangs, etc... )

I might allow the minnie mouse one but only under the codition of full black leggings under the skirt and a black turtleneck on top. Then I think it would look more like minne mouse and less umm well you know.

The last time I dressed up was when my kids were young. I just get a kick out of inventive, off the wall costume ideas.
I'm always like "Why didn't I think of that?!!!"

fh and i love halloween but dont really celebrate on halloween. my grandma died a couple years ago on halloween so we usually go to jacksonville where she lived and have a memorial and visit with our family up there. we take my cousins trick or treating and its always fun but we dont dress up then cuz it is always a real long day- however, we take my niece to disney every year and dress up there- last year we dressed as the pink ladies and the thunderbirds and then the little ones dressed as elvis and marlyn monroe. We wanted to stick with the times. - there were 6 parents and me and fh (auntie and uncle) and two little kids- so we had alot of fun dressing like that!

When I was a kid my mom would take me trick or treating. I'd cry and cry how I wanted to go home, and she'd say "2 more blocks". lol
Halloween is my favorite holiday. I wonder who I got it from? ;)
My sister and her friend are having a party and asked if they could borrow some decorations and stuff. I had FH pull out 6 of those big orange tubs with the black lids from Target she went through. I think I have more Halloween junk than Christmas (including ornaments!) - and I host Christmas Eve dinner for 20 people!

This is what we are wearing -
Brandon:
Blue Jean Pants
Backwards cap
T-Shirt that says "Camera Crew" on the back
Mardi Gras Beads
Holding a Video Camera
Me:
High Heels
Skirt
Open White Button up shirt
Bikini Top with a white sign covering my bikini top that says "Censored"
We are going as "Girls Gone Wild" --- Hehehe! I think I got the idea from one of the sites that Elizabeth put on here.
My friends are going as Adam and Eve. They are gluing leaves all over their clothes and he (Adam) is going to walk around carrying a leaf blower!

I went as a dead bride one time. I don't have any pictures!! I had a long black bridesmaid dress... the bride was divorced at that point, so I didn't feel bad... I bought some black netting to make a veil and some black flowers and painted my face pale and outlined in black. Fun!

As some of you may or may not know, our last name is Fry, so we are trying to think of a cool "costume name" for the costume party our school has every year... something like, The Fry's are covered in Ketchup and Mustard.... except something not so cheesy haha So any ideas would be great haha

My daughter is going to be a clown and my son is going to be Batman. I wont have pictures of them until Halloween. BUT.......... the baby is going to be a chicken...... you can't see the feet in the pictures but they are shaped like a chickens feet. I usualy can not get a picture of him smiling as he sees the flash and he stops before the picture is snapped but Iguess he realy liked his costume cause he was laughing.

Most of us at work didn't want to dress up. More as I didn't have the money for me to doit this year. Had 3 kids to dress. So because I told one girl at work what my friend said they are doing at a differnt branch we decided to do something similar. They are dressing in the baseball team that they like. We are doing sports. She first said new england teams but I said what about racing as my husband has alot of that. So I am wearing my Dale Sr. pink and white ball cap I have and one of my husbands shirts. We are also able to wear jeans. It will be so cool working in jeans and a t-shirt. Seeing I work in a bank. I know it is not DRESSING UP but it gives us a reason to do this.
