Sadly, I don't have any tattoos. I'm a big ol' wimp, but I do love the artform. FH has three and he's 20 right now so who knows how many he'll end up with. He plans on getting a souvenir tattoo on our honeymoon! I love his tats and his piercings too!

I plan on having the one on my lower back redone.. wasnt impressed with it but love the meaning behind it...

I have a backpiece I am hoping to get down after the wedding... my mom would kill me with it showing...

but i plan on getting a lotus flower with two fireflies around it... and if we have children I will add a firefly for each child...!!!!

That is pretty much how my husband is. He says he loves my tattoos and all (he pays for most of them now), but just can't do it himself. He is a big baby with needles and says he can't think of anything he'd want to permantaly have on his body.

Funny though, I am not a fan of needles and such when I go to the Dr, but I can handle a tattoo ;)

I guess since I started the thread I could share that i have 2 tats on my back. one is in the tramp stamp location. It is an orchid. The other is another orchid in the center but higher up on my back. Its a cute location because it show in tank tops (and wedding dresses!)

I have an ivy that goes from the top of my back to my lower back down my spine. I love it. and then I have Charlies softball logo kinda looks like owl eyes and beak with his number 38 just below it on the back of my neck. I aslo attempted to get little cherries just below my belly button however they turned out more like crab apples. sooo disappointing.

i have a tattoo of woodstock (the yellow bird from peanutes) on my right foot, a day lilly on my left side (on top of my ribs - ouch!) and the chinese symbol for love on the back of my neck. i wanted to do my whole left side around this day lilly. then he did the lilly and i said "screw you... you are never touching me with a needle ever again!". out of all 3 that one hurt the worst. its half way from my armpit to my hip so its directly on top of my ribs. i would not suggest it for someone who cant handle pain very well.

I don't have any. Sometimes I think I want one, but I can't figure out something I'll ALWAYS want. Plus, I want it somewhere I can see it and enjoy it, but still cover it up. I sometimes think about getting one on my foot but I'm just not sure.

I have 2 tatoos...and i dont want them anymore! I have one on my lower back which is a cute purple froggy...dont ask...I dont know why I picked a frog! And I have another one right under the waist to the side...if that makes sense...it is a heart with a chinese phrase in it...and its secret!! i wish I didnt have either one though, it was a kid pahse I went through.:purplex:

I have 3 tattoos and I LOVE them. They are so addicting and I want more. I have the Chinese character for a K on my right shoulder. I have a tribal heart between my shoulder blades. And I have the overdone butterfly tramp stamp. I want to get the Chinese character for J on my left shoulder before the wedding. Then my back will read J Heart K. I've wanted tattoos forever but was a big wimp myself. But I got tattooed 2 weeks after I met my FH. In fact it was on my 30th birthday. FH has over 20 tattoos.

My fiance, Guy Gilmore, and I have been together for 11 years and in that time I've wanted to get a tattoo of his name on me sooooo bad but he told me and continues to tell me, "NO!!!you are too beautiful to do that, It's trashy and you would be messing up perfection!" So I can proudly say no! I have none and will never get one he's right!!! BUT... I have nothing against others doing it. I have seen some beautiful tats and admire the art!

I have none right now. I would like to have one, but am afraid that I'll end up regretting it later in life. They are permanent (well, except for tattoo removal, which is expensive). I'm also not a fan of pain. I wouldn't mind getting a tat that simply say "Mrs." in pretty script after I get married, but not sure where I'd put it.

As of the last post I made in this thread I had 9 tattoos; I sort of have 11 now ;) Sort of because the lastest two incorporated smaller tatts I already had, so they are not one.

Sylvester the Cat on my arm next to the White Sox emblem. (No i don't watch Baseball but my last Cat was called Sox) I'm hoping to get them "merged" as a cover-up before the Wedding. Keeping Sylvester but having a paw print over the Sox.

I've also got AC/DC on my lower back in three shades of Blue. My body has rejected the Blue so once again back to the tattooist to get it coloured a different colour.

FH has Four in total. St George on horseback slaying the Dragon on his chest. A St George flag and Red rose on his arm. Louie the Fly from an AC/DC album cover on one shoulder and the Rolling Stones tounge on the other shoulder.

We both want more. I want something Egyptian after the cover-ups and FH wants the kids to write their names on his chest and get the names tattooed in. Then he has something totally unique.

Daddys girl betwn my shoulder blades complete with calla lillies and a halo and devils tail, " Pain is inevitable , Suffering is optional" on my forearm, The chinese symbol for Hero on my shoulder, chinese symbols for hope faith and destiny down the back of my arm and my FH's lips are tatted on my butt lol

I love all my tats they all are there for a reason.

I have 3 of them. All are on my back, but they will be getting covered up for sure on the wedding day.

My first one I got not even a month after I turned 18 (which was back in 2000). It is a full moon with space around it. The moon was taken from an actual Nasa photograph, so it isn't a kiddie style. I changed the colors on it to have lots of blues, purples and some pinks instead of yellows. It wouldn't have looked good with my skin tone at all. I am a Cancer, and it is a water sign. They say that a Cancers moods change with the phases of the moon because it has an effect on the tides (which we all know about the moon and the ocean already), so a Cancer is in its best mood when the moon is full :)

The second one I got is above that is the Japanese symbol for Heaven. I got that in June of 2002. A close family friend who helped raise me when I was young, and when I was living with my grandma, he lived there too, so I lived with him for easily 12 years of my life. He was a father to me (and was Japanese), and was just so amazing. Unfortunately in November of 2001 he passed away, and was very young. He had gotten Diabetes, and after he lost his kidneys, he had to go on dialysis. The morning he passed away, he was in the shower getting ready to be picked up to go for dialysis and just dropped in the shower. It was very sad, but that is why I got the tattoo. I still miss him to this very day.

The third one is down on my lower back a la tramp stamp. God, I hate that term. Anyhoo. I adore the Dalai Llama, and I have had the pleasure of seeing him down in Los Angeles speak. The third tattoo was going to become a larger piece that I have since changed my mind on, but it is the Tibetan Symbol for Ohm. It is in green, and it is great. Ohm is the Buddhist chant to help find inner peace, to help center yourself, and to find a connection with God (whomever it may be for you.) I am not religious, but I am all for finding inner peace and to help center oneself.

It was supposed to have a lotus flower above it and then have a Buddha sitting on the lotus flower, but it would have been way too big, and I am only 5'4"... lol

So yep, those are my babies, but the first two will be covered up. It isn't that I am ashamed of them, its just that I don't feel that it will look right with my dress and the overall feel of my wedding.

i got one on my lower back of the filipino sun with my family's last name written in alibata (filipino calligraphy)... no more for me.... i cried when i got it done. it just plain HURT! :bbcry: victor has like 15 tats and was always like "yeah right you wont get any cuz you're a baby" and when i got home he was like "thats sick! i can't believe you did that" lol

I briefly considered getting one while we were on honeymoon in Ireland, but couldn't think of exactly what to get, or muster up the courage.

I have one on my right front hip...it's a horseshoe. I got it to remind me of the friendships that I have made through horses and that horses have left hoofprints on my life.
I want to get some sort of barbwire/horseshoe design on the small of my back that says Cowgirl Up because it is a great motto to live by.
On a side note...I got my tattoo when I was 20. About a year or so later my dad decided that he wanted one too...so I went with him. He's big into Harley so of course his tats are motorcycles, eagles, Harley, etc related. He now has 6 and wants another one and blames it on me (in a joking way).
My stepmom wants to go get one to surprise my dad with and wants us to go together...some mother daughter bonding (my real mom and I do not have a relationship any longer....LONG story) so one of these days when I have the time and money we're making it a girls day out!

I don't currently have any, but sometimes I think I'd like to. Fh doesn't have any objections; sometimes he says he'd like to get two; one of a zipper on his chest just below his clavicle(that dip between your throat and the start of your breastbone) b/c he had surgery years ago and sports a major scar running from there to just above his navel...but everyone tells him with that being on bone it will hurt like everything. he also says he'd like to get on on his arm from shoulder to mid-upper arm that represents his nickname "screwball" which would be a baseball in flames with a screw sticking out of it? lol

I on the other hand had thought of getting one to represent myself and my sisters (there are 7 of us total) ws thinking of a sea turtle(love 'em) but instead of the regular blocks in its shell making them match the colors of mine & my sisters birthstones.

But til I get rid of my chickeny persona I'll jsut have to admire everyone else's tat's:grinhappy:
