Tango if you're out there or anyone else who would like to assist; my question to you since you do alot of cupcakes and cakes... what is the basic recipe for a cake filling? I have been looking for something rich, and creamy for a cake filling. I plan on doing a liquor cake for the wedding cake now... and the lady that is making it needs some assistance and since I am picky I am going to be through this all the way

I need just a basic recipe for cake filling that I can tweak myself and it have some creaminess and richness too. Also know any really good cake batters to start with??

When I mean liquor cake I mean like liquor extracts or a touch of the real thing.
Here is a recipe for the filling... basic would this sound any good?

Now the flavorings I was going to try and do test runs for like our favorite mixed drinks or like Bailey's or Amaretto

I found sites with the real thing or just extracts... any help is needed...

I'll ask my aunt. She's a retired wedding cake maker. I didn't ask her to do it for my wedding because I knew that it would stress her out trying to make it perfect for me! I'm having amaretto flavored buttercream so I think that going with a liquor flavor is a great idea.
