I just wanted to share this with you everyone!
I was married and had two beautiful children. I was married the first time to my "high schooll sweetheart". As I said, we had two truly beautiful children, but after 7 years both of us were ready to start new lives. This meant completely different things to each of us, but we knew it wasn't working for "us" anymore.
I chose to take my children, move to a different state, and go to nursing school. After having been in NC for 2 months and completely depressed, I decided I needed my hair cut and styled to make me feel better. The girl that cut my hair had been my mother 's hair stylest for years. She cut my hair and I left. About 6 weeks later my mom told me that the hair stylest had been looking for me all over town. Now, understand, we lived in a town that literally had one (1) caution light.....not hard to find me! A week later or so, I went in to have my son's hair cut and the hair stylest proceeded to tell me about her twin brother. She told me about his current divorce and how much she wanted us to get together, even though he lived 2 1/2 hours away! I basically told her she was crazy and left her shop. My mother was upset, to say the least!!!
To make a long story short...I finally agreed to meet her twin brother on a blind date (which I had NEVER done)! We had talked on the phone from Monday until Friday before we met and the connection was instant!
We traveled back and forth 2 1/2 hours for over 2 years until I earned my RN degree. We couldn't wait until I had graduated, so we eloped November 3, 2001 and were married in a beautiful chapel in Gatlinburg, TN, with only my children present. We continued to drive the 2 1/2 hour drive until I graduated in May 2002.
He has stayed by my side through so many challenges since we've been married! I was an open heart nurse, and good at what I did, but I could never shake my love for the bridal business (which is what I did before going to nursing school). Finally, I bit the bullet and went back to what I truly love!
All along he has stood beside me! I am very particular about my home and cleanliness. He has managed to adapt the same beliefs and habits! He does all of the laundry, vacuuming, dishes, 90% of the cooking and helps my teenagers with everyday tasks!! I hardly lift my hand. He tends to wait on me hand and foot, even though he works 40+ hours a week.
I know it sounds like I am lazy, but I am anything but! He just gets upsets if try doing too much! He truly seems to enjoy helping out and making my life easier. I NEVER had that with my first husband. He never lifted his hand.
Just wanted to share with everyone how wonderful my husband is! Oh, and by the way, he is really on me to renew our vows. I never even had to bring the subject up...he did! I've been designing a gown that I only hope lives up to his expectations! How many guys want two weddings?!!!! Most are happy to just get thru the first! As I said...I love my husband!
