Yup yup. I did, I did. I realized how much weight I've gained in the last two years and decided to do something about it. My friend Joyce has a Gold's Gym membership and she asked me to go with her as her guest today. Well I ended up joining, with her help of course. She paid for my first month. She knows how much this means to me. Esp, since my wedding dress doesn't zip all the way. So wish me luck in losing weight!

There's never any need to be embarassed really :) You are out there doing something -positive- for yourself. It's only embarassing if you realize an issue and do nothing to change it!
That said I'm an awful hypocrit, because I often worries entirely too much what people think of me, haha. But I'll be taking a little bit of my own advice and finding a place to work out soon. Most the time now I just find the time to take walks and do exercise videos.

Good lucky honey... support is here. Don't get discouraged when you notice that you have gained weight... if you are doing weights you will gain weight BUT its muscle. Muscle will start replacing the fat, just see if you feel like you are getting toned... clothes will fit looser even if you gain muscle and lose fat.
My FH and I are actually going to start a workout regimen this week.. we are working out for an hour after he gets out of work, his dept. has a gym up stairs so.. Im excited. Keep your head up and the eyes on the prize....
Good luck! I too need to do something, i should join a gym as well.

That is so great that your are doing something positive for yourself. The best thing you can do is set a realistic goal, don't just say you want to be able to zip up the dress. If you have an goal of a weight, for example one of my friends gained a lot of weight do to some meds she is taking for a medical problem. She went from 125 to 155 pounds, after trying to lose weight just so her clothes fit better, she was always feeling discouraged. She then decided that she could live with weighing 130, and she couldn't believe how much better she was able to loses the weight. I am not sure what your habits of eating are; the better you eat the easier it will be to lose the weight. This is tricky as the more you burn calories the more you are going to want to eat. A rule I try to follow is I eat until I fill full; and I drink lots of water, milk or juice. I am not an expert or anything, but this is just what I have noticed when either my friend or I have tried to lose weight.
Good Luck! We are here for you if you need us for support.
