So, I really want to do a signature mat, but FH also wanted to do a guest book for addresses. I have never put my address in a guestbook and from guestbooks I've seen, a lot of people don't . . . so my thought is to have the mat for people to sign but also have a Address Book (not a guest book) for people to fill in their information.
I dunno, thoughts??

I have never added anything besides my name other than perhaps my hometown ... ie, Montreal, Quebec.
In that you have sent your guests invitations, will you not have everyone's address anyhow?

That's what I was gonna say, Elizabeth. :)

EXACTLY what I said! About the addresses I mean. I completely told DH that but he gets something in his head and doesn't want to drop it . . . so in my mind it's one of those things not worth fighting. I can pick 90% of the reception stuff if I let him have a address book haha.

I have been to weddings where they have both guest book and then on the photo mat thingy. Now as far as people filling out their complete addresses ~ I have not seen that... but whatever - it is your wedding girly! Do what ya want!

I think I understand where he's going with it. If your guests put down their addresses, your guest book could then double as your address book in the futute (getting lots of use out of it). However, I think that since you have everyone's address, it seems a bit redundant to have them put their addresses down again. I would just put them directly into my address book and leave it at that, but if you really want to have the addresses in there, do it and have the photo mat. It will be fun for the guests to sign both.

I think I've at least started to convince FH that an address book is redundant. But, on the note of this kind of thing . . . I got a mat from the craft store but for writing on it . . . just a sharpie? Anyone know what kind of pen is supposed to be used on these things? Thanks!!!
