Hello everyone, my name is Kelly and my FH is Randy.
Oh gosh how we met... we met in the summer of 2004. Well, we were actually forced together by a couple co-workers. One night I was on my way to visit a couple co-workers at work at a station. (I work for an ambulance company). I happened to pull up to the station and see that there was a police car sitting there and to see my co-workers talking with one of the officers.
As I pulled up and got out of my car, the officer asked me if I was single and I was like ummm yea? (This officer is my FH co-worker.) So we started talking in the group and the next thing the officer Eric, got on his cell phone and two-wayed his partner that night (my FH )
As his partner showed up I became one big ball of nerves and didn't know how to act. This was the officer I have been oogling over for a year now!!!! I would see him on calls and scenes and just basically he was eye candy.
Well one of my partners there had a crush on him and she knows how to work the men, so I basically backed downa dn figured I didn't have a chance. So we stood there talking in a group, well my co-workers and Eric, but Randy and I kept looking at each other and looking away but not saying anything!!! Well Mary (my co-worker) grabbed a business card and wrote my name and number on it and shoved it in his uniform pocket.... OK now talk about being embarrassed and feel desperate.
I figured he had already had a significant other or thought that there was a huge age difference between us and it wouldn't work. Well!!! The next day I was getting ready to check into service at work, and my phone rings. I answered it and it was my FH. I had to cut him short, called him back 4 hours later when he told me he thought I was going to stand him up... and the rest is history.
After getting to talking to him and knowing him, there was one particular call we were on together a year before he called me that he was trying to ask people about me without looking unprofessional, and had told me that I was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and really wanted to talk to me badly.
Things have progressed on from there and here we are....
The Engagement:
Now the engagement wasn't all text book perfect or romantic but it was what I wanted. For the 1st year of dating we were talking about marriage and kids already... nothing big
Last October he took me to the jewelry store and told me to pick out what I would want in an engagement ring.... OK!!!! 5 hours later I had it, it had to be custom made so really didn't know when I would get it.
Well this was the engagement, picture this... just getting home from picking up the ring and standing the kitchen with the lights dimmed low and me whining that I want to just wear it around the house, giggling. My FH pulls the ring out of the box and asks "Do you wanna?" Me, "Wanna what?" FH "You know marry me?" Me: "YYYYyyyeeesssss!!!!!" And the rest is history....
Oh and the age difference of 12 years didn't scare either one of us off....
