Just asking, I'm thinking of doing this for my FH. So you know how they say a picture speaks a thousand words. So I thought for a wedding gift to my husband I would do boudoir pictures. They are kinda of half nudes, lingerie, sexy pictures. Is anyone else ever thought of doing something like this for there FH. I got this idea from *******.com heres the link for it

I just thought it would be something unique and have it made into a book... the photographer we are getting has done photo shoots like this before. One of my bridesmaids was thinking of getting this done for her significant other; so we are going to get them done after we lose 30lbs.
Anyone ever thought or would be up to doing something like this for FH????

Yeah actually I've been planning on doing something like this not specifically as a wedding gift, but just "because." I've got a photographer friend who specializes in the pin-up look (for both models and cars/trucks), so I'm wanting to do very classic looking B & W, complete with the pin-up (think Vargas, Olivia) hair and makeup. :)

One caution - make sure FH is okay with this sorta thing. I have one friend who did this, and her FH was super upset that she let another man see her like that . . . I personally asked FH out of curiosity if he'd be upset and he said no but he would never ever want to know who took the pics...

Oh no I don't plan on asking FH... the photographer I am going with is female... this is going to be a surprise I understand your concern but I will be having a female photographer but it's not going to be full nudes, like lingerie and maybe just back shots or front chest up with breasts covered.... am I wrong for not asking FH???

I asked FH what he thinks about it and he said he'd rather not. Doesn't really surprise me :p

Easy way to get around this without spoiling the surprise (and also good for why girls) - get a female photographer.
Personally, I'm not the least bit shy, but I do feel for this sort of a project, a woman is going to have a better eye as to what's sensual and flattering without being over the top/p0rn-ish... LOL....

I don't think you're wrong at all. The element of surprise is important in this, I think... the fact that you've taken the time to do this for him, to present this beautiful gift to him...

I didn't mean to scare you. I think that you probably know your FH well enough to know if it might even possibly bother him. But, in general, for women who aren't 100% positive their man is going to be okay with it, asking in general or just bringing it up to gauge his reaction can be a good idea.
A female photographer is definitely a good start, though!

I use to do things sort of like this when I was a photographer. I would like to do something like it for DH one day too. In fact, HE has mentioned how he would like it! I need to get on the ball and loose 20-30 lbs first.
Plus I am rather self conscious, not only about my body, but about how I look in photos. As a former photographer myself, I know exactly what I want the finished image to look like and I am sure this will be a PITA to whoever I get to do it :p
Also I wouldn't ever want anyone else to see the pictures. So I will have a task in finding a photographer I trust (a woman or a gay man ;)) as well as one that will do what I want and would be willing to give up (or sale) copyright and future display rights.
I think that's a great idea for most any FH. I wouldn't even have thought about needing to ask until some of you girls mentioned it though. I know that mine would love this. He's working on a tattoo idea w/ a Vargas style pin up girl right now and if it were his choice I'd dress like a hoochie every day. lol. I'm planning on doing this as maybe a valentine's gift one day when I can better afford it. Personally, I would be more comfortable with a woman photographer, but my FH wouldn't care about that sort of thing at all. I guess it really just depends on your FHs personality and viewpoint on these types of things.

I have already had it in mind to use a female photographer since I would most likely be more comfortable and also one of my good friends is going to do it with me, except for her significant other and no we are not going to take nudies together.
It was just something that got me thinking about my FH when keri made the comment... you know the 'what ifs"

I think it would actually be kind of fun to have him take the pictures :) Now with digital photography, a quality camera, good lighting, even if the results aren't pro, it could be fun. And that way no problem with having someone else take those pics :)

They wouldn't look as good in the end though, imo. And the point is to have something proffesional and lasting :)

It might not look as good - but it would be a LOT more fun, and make more memories, which would be more important to us. :)
