I know I haven't posted a lot lately, but with a new baby, you know why I've been AWOL. Well, we're gearing up to make all of the plans for our wedding (this spring/summer) so, yeah! I'll be around more. Just letting you know!

Elias is such a sweet baby. He doesn't even cry! He just kind of fusses and whimpers when he needs something. I've only heard him cry 3 or 4 times in the 2 weeks that he's been on the outside. Once was when he was born, once was today when he was taking a bath (only because the baby bath hammock was cold and wet--once I warmed it up, he was a happy boy) and once or twice he's let out a cry or two when he was REALLY hungry.

Since I'm breastfeeding, I can't always just whip it out and feed him. I'm getting more comfortable with the idea of nursing in public (with a shawl over us both, of course) but usually I bring a bottle with some pumped milk. He's eating like a champ. He's so cute and so wonderful.

We're sticking with a simple wedding. I updated my journal, so you can see what it's looking like. We haven't set a date yet, but it's just because all kinds of things have been going on and Carlo and I haven't had a great deal of personal private time to talk it all over. I didn't bring anything up, he did.

I was in bed, nursing Elias, and Carlo was talking about 'when we get married'. I kind of looked up, surprised, and told him that I didn't want him to say it unless he really meant it.. And he just told me that something changed when Elias was born. He said that he walked out of the delivery room a different man than he did when we got to the hospital..

And that he really wants to make a commitment to the baby and I. He said that 'as a family, we have to all be one. Having the same last name helps with that'.

So, I'm taking my measurements and picking out a pattern for my dress, and she's going to start on it pretty soon. I'm going to check eBay though, and see if I happen to luck out and find the real deal.. I just love that dress!!

Thats great Carrie!! Having a baby can change your life in more ways than one!! Carlo is really stepping up to the plate! Congratulations on everything! I am so so sooooo HAPPY for you and your FH and your baby!!

He's learning to change diapers, and he kisses Elias every time he walks by him. I just put the little man down for a nap. He's so cute!!!

I still can't beleive that he's here, and that he's all mine. I can't immagine what life would have been like without him--but I'm getting the IUD as soon as possible. Carlo and I have agreed, that no nuts and bolts will connect until the proper protection measures are in place.

Right now I'm starting to contact all of the vendors and stuff, just getting the prices and whatnot. Well, talk to you later!!

I am so happy for your family, Carrie. It sound slike you have two very content men to share your life with now.

Good to hear everything is coming together! Good luck planning the wedding! Just a note: If you are still breast feeding on your wedding day plan time to actually do it, or to pump. My sister in law didn't on her wedding day when she was still breast feeding and was in terrible pain by the end of the night.
