Ok, so FMIL has a timeshare and will be sending us just about anywhere in the world for our honeymoon, :ura1: now I am just so tickled pink I really don’t care where that place might be… but I would like to have some places scoped out before hand. :chicken: FH has said he wants to be by the water. He was thinking maybe somewhere around the Mediterranean sea area. I would love to go to France I have ALWAYS wanted to go, and I have also fallen in love with Fiji.

Didn’t know if you guys had any suggestions. Neither one of us has ever been outside of the US and would love suggestions or tips. thanks.

We are going to Jamaica but I would LOVE to go over to the Mediterranean! I don't think you could go wrong with Fiji or France! But I would def. want to go somewhere where you can chill! That is just me - I would not want to go anywhere where you felt like you had to sight see all day ~ but that could be your thing ... I dunno! I am probably NO help - but I think that is so cool that your honeymoon is so "open"! I would just do some research, then narrow it down and let us take a poll! LOL

All the stars have started going there b/c it is so ridiculously perfect and beautiful.

We are doing the same thing! FH's parents do a time share and offered to give us that for our honeymoon. So I did a bunch of research on anywhere with a beach.

One word of advice : get an all-inclusive package!!

Fiji was our original choice. But after a ton of research, I also really liked resorts in St.Lucia, Acapulco, Barbados, and Dominican Republic.

Which timeshare are you using? Is it RCI? If so, I can give you specific hotel names you can look at if you want.

Anyway, we ended up deciding to go to the Dominican Republic. Here's (http://www.paradisuspuntacana.travel/) the resort we're going to. However, since the parents are paying for it, we decided to wait and take our "honeymoon" on our 1-year anniversary because when else are we going to get to take a free trip with no kids? :bblol:

For our 'after-the-wedding' honeymoon, we're going to take a roadtrip somewhere. I'm pushing for Savannah, GA. :hi:

Here's (http://www.tastetheworld.org/blog/2007/07/the_honeymooners.php) my blog post about the hotels we'd looked at and really liked. That was before we decided on all-inclusive, though, so I don't know if these offer that option or not.

I *really* wanted to go to Seychelles...but RCI didn't have anything there. :rain:

Your idea of the mediterranean sounds perfect. I also suggest an all inclusive since you aren't looking to do any sightseeing. That way you can just stay there and not have to worry about spending any money. I've heard of some people having problems with RCI when they go to a timeshare and aren't the owner's at that specific one so just make sure you do your research and that the resort you choose isn't one of the problem ones.

All the stars have started going there b/c it is so ridiculously perfect and beautiful. It is a string of islands between the east coast of Africa and the west coast of India. Takes almost two days to get there from the east coast of the US. Unless you are flying business class you are starting your honeymoon with a long hard trip.
