Originally, we talked about doing the monogram topper with crystals, but we couldn't find crystals in our color. We decided to go ahead and buy some wooden letters and paint and see how they turned out.
The letters were only 99 cents, so why not... The paint was $4.99, but we have enough to use for other projects.
This is the "rough draft" of our letters after we decided not to do the crystals. They look better now, especially in person.

They are drying right now, but I should be finished tonight. (minus the picks to stick them in the cake)
