congrats!! I would go out to the dollar store and check out leis maybe you could give them to your guests.I think it would be fun to have someone greeting your guests and giving them leis. There are some pretty cheap looking ones out there. I found some really nice leis. In pinks, soft yellows, blues, tangerine. Also i have seen mini tiki torches for tables. you would have to check with who ever you are having your reception with.(fire regulations) I think fresh cocconut and pineapple would be great for accents. It depends on how much you want to spend. Incorprate seashells, plastic broken glass (found at craft stores) I think you could even do something with sand. get flat dishes and put sand and sea shells or those mini umbrellas with tea lights?? I hope i wasn't rambling on too much. I hope i helped you a little bit.
Good luck!!:goodluck:

I think sea shells and candles on the tables would be nice and should be cheap too ;) As for favors, maybe lei's or little bags of sand and sea shells with candy, like chocolate covered macadamia nuts instead of Jordan almonds (very Hawaiian ;)) and/or a candle or sea shell soaps.
Here are a couple of sites devoted to beach and/or Hawaiian theme weddings ...

Oh, if you go more towards the Hawaiian theme you could have each table with a little Hawaiian saying related to love and/or marriage.
Here are a few I found online (don't ask me how to say them though ;)) ...
"He `olina leo ka ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Joy is in the voice of love"
"He kehau ho`oma`ema`e ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Love conquers all"
"Aloha wau ia 'oe" -- Hawaiian for "I Love You"
"A`ohe loa`a i ka hana a ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Distance is ignored by love"
"Awaiâulu ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Love made fast by tying together"
"E lei kau, e lei ho`oilo i ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Love is worn like a wreath through the summers and the winters"
"He kêhau ho`oma`ema`e ke aloha" -- Hawaiian for "Love is like cleansing dew"
LOL ... ok, I guess I went over board ;)
Best wishes,

I love this idea:
Seaside Theme
Jennifer, Wheaton, IL
We are having a seaside-themed wedding. At a craft store we found some perfect unpainted wooden boats and lighthouses (flat, about 1 ft high), which we will paint in the wedding colors of ivory and gold. Then, we will paint a number on the sails of the boats and sides of the lighthouses, which will also serve as the dinner table numbers. Around the bottom of the pieces, we will scatter sand, seashells, and sea glass.
Oriental trading is a great place to get beach theme stuff too:

I've got a few pictures of some Beach/Hawaiian themed favors I made a few years ago. I'd love to attach the photos here, but the file size exceeds the forum's limit. E-mail me at weddings2004@earthlink.net if you want me to send them to you.

here are some more:
I love these. Dual purpose. Place cards at your reception and your guests can use them to hold pictures when they get them home.

These would be cute with M&Ms or something. I wonder if they make little shovels that size?

You could make these yourself if your looking for a DIY project:

Ok.....I couldnt get half of the links to open on this computer, so i dont know if anyone posted this already or not, but when I go home at lunch Im going to scan a pic in a catalog I got the past weekend. It was a wedding favor I think, but it was a bottle opener shaped like a dolphin. Tt was blue with shells inside it. And the opener part was in the tail. I thought it was gorgeous! They were only like $1.99 each, which I thought was cheap for this.

We had a luau themed reception. My photographer didn't get any pictures of our centerpieces, but they were really cute and cheap to make. We went to the dollar tree and bought a clear bowl for every table and a couple packs of tealights. We also found bags of shells at a different dollar store. I bought 8 but only needed 4 or 5 and we had about 25 tables. We bought play sand from Toys R Us. It was a 50lb bag and we used about half of it.
I poured the sand into the bowls and stuck the tealight in the center. We spread shells around the tealight in all the bowls. They turned out really cute and were only a little over a dollar a piece to make.
For favors, we gave out the plastic leis we found in bulk at a party store. We also gave everyone a bag of chocolate shells that my best friend and I made using molds. They got 2 white chocolate and 2 milk chocolate.
