Hello

My name Is Charlie Artingstoll, I'm 15 and you could say that I run a company that makes Wooden plant labels for Gardens in my shed.

A few weeks ago I received an order for 60 wedding tags and the lady asked if I could drill holes and supply raffia so that she could not only tie them around champagne bottles and also glasses so that her guests knew where they were sitting but also they had a keepsake keyring for after the wedding. I can also burn the words into wood, meaning i can make menus, invites and other personalized items

Now I'm not going to include any Special offers or Links because I Don't Want to break any forum rules, but i was just wondering ( I've never had a wedding myself) If this is something that there is a demand for? I mean my father had an elaborate wedding at Whitstable castle, but he had a buffet style food system so there was no need for these, but for Award ceremony type or more formal weddings where everyone sits in a set place I suppose they could be needed?

Thank you in Advance for your help.

[Sorry if this comes across as advertisement, its merely to 'test the water' as i don't want to spend however much advertising an idea that no-one is interested in :P]

I think you have a good idea there!

You could also turn them into Christmas tree ornaments, gift tags or tags for specialty crafts. I know a lady who makes handmade teddy bears and puts a wooden name tag on each. I buy similar items to make my own ornaments every year.

A long time ago I saw some wood greeting Christmas cards which were really cool. They were sized to fit in a regular card envelope and yet light enough to mail with a regular stamp. An image was painted (or wood burned) onto the front of an card and a verse was printed on the back. These cards doubled as little decorations for the wall.

Kudos to you Charlie. Keep at it ... dreams can come true!
