Lighting Ideas... Please!!!

So I was looking at the threads for decorating. And I was wondering what did people do with like the little christmas-like lights? I know that for my table decorations I am have 4-5 red votives on the table with candles giving a red glow to it... but I would also like to have more of a warmth to the room but not all red glow.... Ya know what I mean???? Just wondering what everyone did for lighting/ambience glow or what not, or what you plan on doing???

You could add uplighting .... a few flood lights (with bulbs in your colours) strategically spaced out at the bottom of the wall(s).

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LIz I lovethem pick..... would it be too much lighting if I went with the drop or they look like icicle lights to the table and back drop???? Ohhhhhh Weeee... LOVE IT THANK YOU!!!! I mean i want some ambience but i don;t want to take away from the red suductive feeling....
