I have been working out at the gym since May. I ahve a personal trainer that I see three times a week. the weight has been coming off really slowly, but a little has come off. My trainer has put me on a special meal plan that he wants me to follow. So far, so good. My biggest down fall is pop, I love Pepsi. My FH is also following the meal plan with me, which helps, b/c then he is not sitting there eating something that I would love to have. I have signed up with my trainer until April '08, so he will keep me in line LOL

Congratulations. They always say when you lose it slowly and steadily by eating right and working out, like you are, is the way to keep it off! Thats wonderful, keep up the good work :whoohoo:
I switched to diet soda years ago. I just switched and at first I hated diet, but now it's all I drink if i'm gonna drink soda. But what if you tried mixing diet and regular to start? then slowly reduce the amount of regular. I think that would help alot.

Good job with the loss so far!!
Let me tell ya, pop is the BIGGEST thing for me, too. I'm highly addicted to Diet Coke - LOVE IT. And, really, diet pop is no better than regular pop. The additives in it are actually worse for you than what's in regular soda, though you get to say you're getting 0 calories.
Trying to break the soda habit is very hard...I guarantee you're addicted to caffeine. I certainly am again, and it's a hard habit to break. You'll get headaches when you stop drinking it. I'm currently weening myself off it again.
Water is your best friend right now. It will fill you up, help you flush your system (including loads of salt, which makes you retain weight), and will actually quench your thirst, unlike soda which will just make your body need more liquid. Drinking lots of water will take those inches off quickly, too.
Good luck!! :whoohoo:

Diet pop is still bad for you? I drink ALOT of diet pop.....

The carbination in soda makes me instantly fill bloated.
Congrats and good luck.
I used to love soda too, but I managed to ween myself off of it slowly.
Instead of soda, I started to drink juice cut with sparkling water to satisfy my sweet tooth. At first, I was drinking mostly juice and some sparkling water, but I gradually started to change the ratio so that I drink just a little juice and mostly sparkling water. I've gotten to the point where soda is WAY TOO SWEET for me, and I just can't drink it anymore.

I went off my meal plan last weekend. FH took me our for my b-day and we had so much food and had a few drinks. It was so nice to just sit back and relax and enjoy the company we had.
When my trainer found out about my weeknd, that was a different story. He has worked me so hard this week. My hour long sessions seem to last forever. Even with the cheat I am down 2 lbs this week. How do I update my slider? I went back to tickerfactory, but I am not able to update.

I have been using some good old-fashioned skipping (jump rope), running, walking long distances, leg raises and stretches along with eating plenty fruits, vegetables and mainly fish to lose weight and obtain permanent weight loss.
