I know there are a few of you here; anyone doing a holiday (Thanksgiving/Fall or Christmas/Winter) type theme for the wedding?

Tell us what you are doing!

Me! I'm having a Christmas wedding (December 15th). Our centerpieces will be scattered ornaments, pine cones, and cinnamon-scented candles. Our cake will look like a giant stack of presents. Instead of a gift table, we're going to have a Christmas tree that people can put presents under. Um...I can't think of anything else right now.

Sounds nice :)

You might could make up little ornament favors to put on your tree for people to take too!

May I say that DH and I are really stoked? We are doing some really cute gingerbread couple ornament favours, a guest signature platter & MOH/BM gifts for a Christmas theme wedding.

I am knee deep in gingerbread ornaments right now and so, I am not sure I will ever want to see another one after all this is said and done :) I can't wait to get onto the platter. We are trying something new in that the design is going to be off center; bleeding off the right hand side of the platter.

I am not sure I would want to plan a wedding around the holidays but the design choices and decoration ideas are endless!

We are getting married 5 days after X-mas..but we are doing more of the travel/Hawaiian theme....the place we are getting married at still will have some flowers and wreaths up though.... It is hard to think of X-mas in Hawaii! TOO HOT!!!

I spent a lot of Christmas holidays in Hawaii growing up actually, my grandparents live there, so it's not too hard to think of. Some of my favorite things are the flamingos in santa hats and palm trees with lights on them, hehe :)!

As for Jon and I, we'll be getting married around Thanksgiving, but don't plan on putting -too- much of a theme toward it. It will help with the reception a lot though I'm thinking! Seasonal foods and the like.

I am used to it...my dad is there, my FH is from there, and my mom lives in Phoenix..so depending on where I am, I am in the pool for Christmas day ;) But it is still weird to me!

I do like palm tress or Cactuses with Lights on them :)

Pardon me for saying so, but this thread is three years old and your response doesn't make any sense. Please contribute to more current thread. Thank you.
