Is this too much to put on the RSVP card? Also if I have to have my head count to my venue 14 days before my wedding, when you should I ask it back by?

To avoid asking the number of guests, I put Name(s)______

That way I know the names of all party members :)

No I think thats perfect, as an ex chef if they pick their meal ahead of time then I'd know exactly how much to order, and less likely to run out of something.
As for asking it back by, give yourself a few days to count the rsvp's
Now I'll take the chicken if you don't mine.

If you doing place cards for all guest, I guess the names would be important.
I have seen several rsvp cards in this exact order, and I didn't think it was too much at all.

This may seem strange, but you might want to somehow imply that you are looking for the # of people ordering the Chicken or Sirloin. Otherwise you might get a family of 3 with a X next to chicken and an X next to sirloin but not know if it's supposed to be 2 chicken and 1 sirloin or 2 sirloin and 1 chicken.

Please indicate the number of entrees

_______ Chicken Oscar garnished with Lobster and Asparagus
_______ Herb Crusted Roast Sirloin of Beef, Bordelaise Sauce

Name of guests attending ___________________

I know its unconventional but maybe it doesnt have everyone repeating themselves. That way it only has who WILL come and no regrets - not sure

Earlybird's manner of putting it comes off the smoothest imo.

:bblol: I'm suddenly even more pleased we won't be doing full meals!

Lord, that's not too much information at all !

I've got twice that to go on my RSVPs.

Wedding: Who is attending/Number etc

Attending Reception: Yes/No (have to have this for the dinner cause loads of his family will leave after the ceremony)
Number of Children and ages (we are doing a kids table with activities for them)
We are doing a buffet so no food choices at least.

First Dance Song you Danced at your wedding: Song/Artist

Then a separate piece of paper (probably velum) where I ask them to write the name of a loved one or family member who has passed and return that.
We are doing an "In Memoriam" at the beginning of the ceremony where all those little pieces of velum or parchment will be lit in a large metal bowl while Amazing Grace is played on bagpipes. We are older and both families have lost so many of it's members over the past couple of years.

Don't even ask me about the program ! We are putting small headshots of each of the ceremony participants with a short blurb about who they are so everyone knows who these people are standing up there with us. We have about 13 so far, so I don't want the guests to get bored waiting for the ceremony to start, and this family has NEVER done anything on time.

Geesh - now I'm getting really nervous about the invites and I still haven't gotten the blasted STDs out yet cause the envelopes had to be reordered !

Oh well.............
