I'm gonna go back and have her try an updo to see what I like best.
pic #1 is all down and bangs kind of curled in.
pic #2 is half up and bangs slicked to the side.

I think it might just be the angle of the camera on the second picture, but it looks really high. I definitely like the first picture better. I really like your bangs in it.

I like number 2 better...Not sure about the hieght of the curls on top of your head, but nonetheless, I think it came out great!!!

I like #2 alot but you need some length with the hair, maybe try a few clip on hair extensions. I have worn them for years and it is totally cheap and undetectable.

I like #2 better than #1. In #2, I think the hair being half up helps to shape the curls a little better, and the side part looks more clean (because the hair is sleeked down) and slims your face.

But to be really honest, I'm not a fan of this hairstyle. Maybe I need to see the back to make a better judgement, but the overall shape of the curls looks a little block-ish. I think that larger, looser curls, rather than tight curls like these, would look nicer.

Here is the back of it. Keep in mind.. I have naturally curly hair and she put in hot rollers right after I got home from work. I think in order to get the clean curl look you are talkin about, i'll probably have to straigten it and then put the hot rollers in....what do you think?

Its got that 80's tightness look to it..yes you would straighten the hair first, then use a large 1 1/2 curling iron try to get a ceramic one they are the best and won't burn your hair, revlon makes a good one for around $20. if you want a loose like you have been to the beach look, then alternate the curls ( do one going towards your face and the next going away from it ). I can see what she was trying to do and if you straighten it first and use a bigger wand it will look awesome.

Oh duh I just saw the pic you were going for, very pretty. yes she has that alternate curl thing going on. Your hair is thin on the bottom ( like mine ) so definitly go for the looser curl towards the bottom it will look thicker. Also you should splurge on a good hairspray for touch ups. you want it to hold and be shiney. I am going for a similar look as well, I am putting some clip on hair extensions in as well so i have more hair to play with.

Last night I went home and played around with my hair on my own. I straightened it first and then tried to do the curl......it wouldn't hold. eeewwww...i hate my hair...the natural curl and the thiness is making it hard to fix. I'm hoping Lela (the girl thats doing my hair)can do something diff. with it.

Seriously Samantha, I'm speaking honestly...Your hair looks really beautiful. I think when your make up and dress is on, you're just going to glow!! Right now your make up wasn't on and neither was your dress, so you can't see it as a finished product...

Trust me hun, Your hair looks great and that's my honest opinion...I would never lie to a Bride to be~!!!

I have a suggestion. If you don't like how your hair looks curled or you are afraid of it not holding....why not wear your hair straight? You said you don't do it often....and I LOVE your hair straight!

Honey, if my hairdresser can make my incredibly straight, thin hair hold a curl, I am sure your hairdresser will be able to do the same. Don't sweat it :)

You gals always find a way to make me feel better...I have another trial scheduled for this coming Monday.
DON'T LAUGH
Here are some pics I just took in the work bathroom...haha
This is my natural curl. I thought...if nothing else works, I could fix my natural curly hair and then pin back to have some loose curls hanging..or something like that.

Ditto here... I love the bangs slicked to the side... just adds polish to the overall look, but the curls on top just need to be softened up a bit so they're not so high. Overall very, very pretty though!!

WELL IF YOUR HAIR WAS CLEAN IT WONT HOLD A CURL USUALLY- opps sorry for caps- make sure your hair was washed the day before and that was it holds a bit better- also i like #2 its more of a "style' your hair is naturally curly so it wont necessarily look much different if you just wear # 1 :)

WELL IF YOUR HAIR WAS CLEAN IT WONT HOLD A CURL USUALLY-

True. When best friend and I went in to have ours done for pictures (her wedding not my own ;) ) the stylist was very adament about us NOT washing all the product out that night. So that it wasn't so smooth and slippery and she had some texture to work with.
And yes, yes they are miracle workers, hehe.

I really like picture #2 the best. It looks more modern. The first looks more traditional, so I guess it does depend on what you are trying to go for.
