I'm just curious if anyone got a decent night's sleep the night before their wedding. I'm afraid I won't because of all the excitement, and this is so important to me because I have Epilepsy my seizures are triggered by stress and lack of sleep. I'll probably end up taking a sleeping aid, but the way things are right now, I'll still probably end up waking up in the middle of the night! :notsure:

Oh man I could NOT sleep at all! We had 2 of the groomsmen spend the night and 1 of my bridesmaids. So we stayed up til like 12am and i just layed in bed for hours it seemed like. I just couldn't believe it was tomorrow. My wedding was at 2pm so i had to be at the salon at 9am. So i had to get up early. Got up SUPER tired. Went to Starbucks and headed to the salon. But i was so calm. Even my hairdresser couldn't believe how calm i was. I was just thinking i think.

I slept like a baby!!! I had two glasses of wine at dinner time and that relaxed me soo much...I slept great! I woke up at 7:30 in the morning though and crawled into my parents bed with them singing "going to the chapel". (I used to always wake up every weekend morning and sit on the edge of thier bed until they woke up...(it was the last time I would be able to do that)
My mom and dad woke up laughing saying that they weren't going to miss this (even though I'm sure they are)

I slept like a rock! I was at my moms house sleeping on the couch. I always cannot sleep when something exciting was going ot happen, but I slept likea rock. Then had to get up at 5:00am to get the other bridesmaids and get our hair done at 7:00am. It was great! I was calm all day, everyone was asking if I was oK because I never freaked out at ALL

I was on an air mattress with a friend of mine in my sisters living room. We were up late doing our nails and having a few drinks. My brother was on one couch my friend ( bridesmaid ) on the other and my other friend and I were on the airmattress. I woek up very early ( like 3 or so 0 freezing. ) once warm again I went back to sleep and slept fine.

Well, I can blame Shawn's family on my lack of sleep before the wedding..Actually, after the rehearsal I was far from tired! Shawn's parents, grand parents, his two aunts, and his cousins all sat around where we had the dinner drinking and talking having an amazing time. I actually had lost track of not only time but the number of glasses of wine I had. We ended up with his grandma over at the bar. Shawns parents went to bed and all but his cousins and aunts were still up. I knew that there was no way I could sleep. So, we walked a block to a dance club and we danced and for a little while. Finally, I said ok I'm going to bed..After a minor incident with Shawn's cousin falling face first on the side walk and cutting her chin and needing stiches...I finally got up to my room..I never tossed and turned so much in my life..I took a hot bath, nothing seemed to work..I was a tid bit hung over the next day but by the time I was dressed and ready to go I felt perfect. Infact I was extremly calm the entire day. I cried once I think at the hair dressers but most of the day I was rather calm. Anyhow, it was very memorable having that time the night before the wedding with Shawn's family...We had such an awesome time together however I wouldn't recommend it on your wedding night!!

I didn't at my first wedding but that was only because my FSIL was sleeping in my bedroom and she was snoring louder than I have heard any man snore! When I thought I was going to murder her, I decided that it was time to go to the guest bedroom and crawl into bed with MOH.

I did sleep when I married Hugh and that was because he was sleeping right beside me. :)

Yep, I was out like a light! LOL! We had our rehearsal dinner, which I think we left the bar shortly after 10pm or so. I went back to my parents house and I was pretty much out right away. When my alarm went off the day of the wedding, my first thought was "Ugh, I have to get up now? I'm still tired." Which is usually my response everyday I get up! LOL!

Nope..didn't sleep much at all. Both Bruce and I were awake most of the night listening to the wind and wondering if it would ever go down. I wasn't the least bit tired on our day though...and I don't think Bruce was either.

One of my triggers for migraines is lack of sleep...but it didn't bother me at all. I hope you can figure out how to get some rest leading up to your big day. Maybe if you get extra sleep the week before (I'm crazy, I know) then missing one night won't be quite so bad.

I actually slept really well, which is odd for me during crazy, stressful weeks like the ones leading up to the wedding.

I had my parents and their crazy dog sleeping downstairs, my sister in bed with me, and my MOH across the hall on my wedding night. I had to take a Tylonal PM to fall asleep, but once I did I slept great!

I also slept like a rock. I was at my parents in my old bed and I was worried I wouldn't be able to sleep, but I was out like 5 second after my head hit the pillow lol.

I went to bed about 11:30 or so, cause that's when the last of our guests and my DH left from the party we'd had the night before our wedding. Then, I shared a bed with my sister and her youngest (3 year old) son. I had a hard time getting to sleep, but once they were sleeping and the guests were all gone, I was out. And slept straight through til the alarm went off at 6am.

I thik for me I was so overwhelmed leading up to the big day that I was EXHAUSTED! I didn't hit the pillow and I was out, but it really didn't take much.
The feelign the next mornign for me though was how quickly I felt like the sleep was. Te fact that I was scared awake by my Mom didn't hlp much either lol.

I slept like a baby! But I was in Vegas so it was 3 hours behind. I went to sleep at 9pm in GA time it was midnight so that worked out. I am not sure about my second wedding tho.

I stayed the night at my parent's house. We ate pringles and spray cheese (classy, huh?). I remember that the pringles had trivia questions on them and we (my mom, step dad and sister, who was my maid of honor) would ask each other the questions and if you got it wrong you would have to each a pringle with spray cheese on it. I wouldn't recommend it, but I was so full that I didn't have a problem going to sleep!

I slept a total of 90 minutes the night before my wedding. And I was so worried about a migraine being triggered too. I kept thinking about all the details of the wedding and if everything was done or not. That's what I get for trying to DIY!
