OK here it goes. Most of this is just in my head and nothing in stone yet. But I feel that if I put it all down it might seem like I can get started on putting it together for real. So here it is.

It all started I guess about 3 yrs ago. we met on line in a quiz room. I am horrible at quizing but I am great at talking lol. We became great friends and before we new it we were more then friend. Talking on the phone for hours. Some times all day, with my cordless I would do whatever I needed to with him on the phone. Sounds bad I know. I had it bad. Well after 7 months of us being a couple I had had enough of him saying he would be here for a visit then something always coming up and he couldn't make it. He knew from the start that I did want just a phone thing i wanted the real thing. I brok eit off with him. I tried being iwth some oen else. I lived with a guy for almsot a year but somethign was always missing. I spoke with Nicholas every now and then just to see how he was doing and played it off that I was happy. Christmas night 2004 I broke it off with the uy I was with and called Nichols. I told him I was still in love with him and he was what has been missing in my life. About 2 weeks later he was here for our very first visit. He came back for a week when I got OUR place. Then a month later he was livign here. It has been an amazing year and I can't believe we will be marreid in just 5 months. Ok so on with my plans lol. Did I mention i LOVE to talk lol :p .

The week of Valentine's Day Nicholas was here. I had to work so he spent the time trying to put the apartment together for me. We were supposed to go to see my mom but that fell through. So becuse we thought we were headed to Maine I wanted to give him his gift early. I got him a necklace. The first weekend he was here I gave him my class ring. Sounds kinda high schoolish I know but he loved that I gave it to him. He put it on his necklace. SO I thought I would give him a nice new necklace to put it on. He has never taken it off. He stills wears my ring on it every day. Most of the time it is hidden under his shirt because of work and all but it is there. After I gave him that he handed me a little bag with a tiny white bear sticking out of it that said I Love You on it. Insaie the bag was a ring box. He got me a promise ring. It is white gold with a purple heart stone with too small diamons on either side of it. He asked me to marry him and said that this ring is to prove that he will be back and he will marry me one day. HE is working on a real engament ring. He said I will have it before we get married. I knw I will have one soon. but with money being so tight and all I dont realy care if we get it when we get our wedding bands. I just want to marry him so bad.

We are getting married on June 10, 2006. We are having an outside ceremony back in my home town in Maine. We are having it in my sisters door yard. She has a big tree at the edge of her lawn and I want to be married under that tree. I plan on coming out of her sliding glass doors onto her deck. Down the stairs and around to the tree. I want an arch under the tree and a white runner leading up to it. I found these that I want to place along the runner or on the steps of the deck or both. Not sure where yet I just know I want somethign like these.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/53_1_b.jpghttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/a8_1_b.jpg

I am still thinking about transportation to the reception hall after the ceremony. And maybe some where in town to stop and have some pictures taken. Not sure what I am doing yet.

The guests are going to stnad. It wont be toolong of a ceremony. We are using a Justice of the Peace. But I want the vows.

I am having one of my brides maids, the one that got Nicholas and I together in the first place to read this durign the ceremony....

Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
Love is never boastful nor conceited.
It is never rude or selfish.
It does not take offense,
And it is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other peoples sins,
But delights and the truth.
It is always ready to exuse,
to trust, to hope,
And to endure whatever comes.

She doesn't knwo it yet but she is is going to read it for us.

I am thinkin gof having another reading done or having my uncle sing i am not sure yet.

Also I am hopign to have my uncle play the bagpipes for me to walk down the aisle to. I love the bagpipes and it being an outside wedding then why not.

And I am having my mom give me away. I have a dad and an ex-step-dad that i am kinda close to but my mom has been there for me through evrey thing. I thin kit just fits that she be the one to give me away.

We were goin gto have the reception outside at my sister's place too. but themore I thought about it the more I wanted the hall. If it rains her house is not big enough for us all. The hall is free because it is at the American Legion and my sister and her dad are members. I am having such a small thing that I am having it as a pot luck. My family is good this way. They would love to help out. I couldn't have the DJ if we had it outside because of the noise ordanance. But now I can Have him. My sister is checking out the hall and the DJ and the JP for me this week. Because the town is so small I was told everythign had to wait till Jan. before nay one started booking anything for the year 2006. So if she takes care of it all now I should be good to go.

We are dancing to Rascal Flatts Bless the Broken Road.

The rest of the song i have no idea about yet lol.

One of my best friends is paying for the photographer as a wedding gift to us. I am soooo excited to have this.

I forgot to mention the girls in my wedding party.

Well my sister is the matron of hounor. Wearing a lilac colored dress that is slightly differnt then the others dresses.
My best friends in the whole world is Cyn from Ohio, she will be wearing an orange color, almsot more of a copper with the materail we are having them made from.
My freind Janet her in NH about an hour north of me is wearing yellow
My best friend of about 10 yrs now i would say ( since I have been in NH she has always been a great friend ) Christine, she is wearing a light green color
And Suzie from Australia ( the one getting the photographer for us ) is wearing a blue dress. Not dark but not too light more of a medium I guess.
And if this friend of mine of the last 6 1/2 yrs gets her act together she will be wearing a dark pink dress almsot fushia i think i would say.

The colors are kinda of the rainbow i just tweeked them a bit. I want this to some how reflect the way we met. My name being rainbowtreat and his downwardspiral.

We are not sure yet what the guys are wearing. But I am thinking that the flower they wear will match the girls dress. What ever girl we pair them up with. Have not got that figured outjust yet either.

Our invations are reflecting our computer names as well. A spiral rainbow.

I have a few ideas for the decorations and the favors and such. Most of which I got from you all in here .

I like this idea for the head table...
[IMG]http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/reception2.jpg
I love the lights under the table cloth.

As for the table themselves..... I want to try to do the photo confettie, after talking in the posts I may try to make my own. I really like the idea of it to dress up the tables. If not I was thinking about different colored rose petals down each table.

I have a couple fo ideas to decorate the tables with all of which i can make myself....

I am not sure on my dress yet. I am still trying to decide but I have an idea of what I want. I want something with color in it. I perfer lilac or multi colors.

I am thinking I want to have a head piece as well as a veil. I can use my sisters veil if Iwant to but hers has the head piece attached to it. I like this head piece....
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/da2dc2b6.jpg
And the jewlery i want somethign like this....
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/fbbad138.jpg

I like this pillow for the ring bearer but we are having 2 little boys. My nephew who will be 2 1/2 and Nicholas' only cousin on his moms side who will also be about 2 1/2.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/63134.jpg

My niece who will be 6 is a flower girl and if my freind that needs to get her act together is still in the wedding her daughter ( who is also my dughters best freind) will be a flower girl. I have seen some baskets I like but I am thinking of buying a couple of cheap ones and dressing them up myself.

For the glasses for every one I found these cute little puter hearts that have the names of who they are engraved on them. Like best man maid of hounor and so forth. They even have them that say bride and groom. Not sure you can tell by the picture but you get the idea of it.......

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ideas%20for%20my%20wedding/30102.gif

I will just need to get glasses and use wire to attach the hearts to them.

We have not decided on a cake yet. We may do one frome some where like Hannaford or Shaws. They look just as nice and we dont need to spend alot on a cake. This is Nicholas' job.

My sister and her husband got us a room for the wedding night as a gift to us. And it is Nicholas' job to think up somethign for the honey moon. We can't afford alot. But I was looking at Bed and Breakfast places in Maine on the ocean. The kids will be with my mom back home. So I figure we could go away for about 3 ngihts just to have time alone togehter and then head back to pick up the kids and head home ( a 7 hour trip ) to get every one ready for the work and school week ahead. Besides I would miss the kids beign away for a whole week. I did when we took a road trip this past summer and the kids were at my moms. I missed them sooo bad by the end of it I just wanted to get to them. I was so excitd to see them when we pulled it. SO I dont think i can spend another whole week away from them just yet. Nicholas understnads he says after the first night that i will be saying tha ti miss them.

We still have alot to do and i am sure i will be adding off and on and making changes here and there. But this is where I am so far. I know I still have ALOT to do in 5 months. So I will be busy.

Wait I forgot....... lol I told ya I was not with it yet lol.

This is how I want my hair to look.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/brit20copy.jpg

This is the cake topper we want.
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/56818.jpg
And I am not sure yet but I would love to wear these boots instead of shoes.
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/61949.jpg
Either those or some white knee high boots. Just because that is me and it would throw Nicholas for a loop when he goes for my garder.

And for the garder I have seen some cute ones that have a little lasso on it or a little cowboy hat.
I want to put a little western style into it. Nicholas is a Southern boy. My Redneck

( and $50 for each additional hour we want him, so $400 for 4 hours ) And the hall is all set all I have to do is donate atleast $100 for the clean up. I am soooo excited. I have the 4 major things booked. ( photographer as well ) now all I have to get is my dress and I am sure all will fall into place.

Nicholas still has a couple more guys to ask. He has one more grooms man who he hasnt asked yet. And he still doesnt have a best man yet. He said he wants Keith. I wouldnt mind but seeing we have just met him ( they hit it off so well that they should have been brothers they are so much alike ) and I am best friends with his wife Cyn and she is notmy maid of honor i think it would be difficult. I dont know maybe it is just me. cyn knows if I didnt have a sister she would have been the maid of honor.

My ideas for the tables is this.......

about 5 tables needed

white table cloths

center pieces will be a 6 1/2" glas cowboy boot ( not exactly sure what I am putting in them yet

clear votive holder about 6 per table half filled with the acrylic ice ( am getting this is 4 different colors ) with a colored tea-light sitting atop of the ice

and colord silk rose petals sprinkled around the holders ( am getting 4 colors of these aswell )

the favors will be the little cow boy hats hald of them black and hal of them white fills with ( i dont know yet ) wrapped in yet another color tulle ( getting this is 2 different colors )

and i may set the bottles of bubbles along the tables as well, not buying enough for every guest because not every one will want to use them

there will be 1 disposable camera at each table with a card asking to capture the guests and such

our table will have to be 2 8' tables together

i want the front to be decorated with white tulle with white lights underneath it with either the ivy or the rose garlend across the front edge

the same decorations at this table with a few more seeing it is set up as a bigger table

the gift for the party is the glasses i am buying and adding the silver heart with their title on it

The budget mentiones in the above post is the budget for the full Wedding. It is a budget of $3,000.00 and after some switching around and cutting back and making a thousand adjustment I am now at $2,950.00.

I have the flexablty to go over just a little. Like a couple of hundred but I am trying not to do that. But for Nicholas to have the cowboy hat we may need to. My sons hat is only $30 and his boots are $40. My boots that I think i am going for ( white knee high boots , listed on the site as GO GO BOOTS ) are only $40. So we are gettign some where.

I could not paste pictures because photobucket was down. As soon as I can I will add the pictures to go with this post.

Ok pictures are in lol.....

First off I think we have decided ona cupcake cake. I found this stand for $36. It hold about 48 cupcakes and an 8" round top. We can put some around the bottom on the table as well. We talked about having a cupcake baking party Thursday night, the first ngiht we get there. And if it is done early enough decorate them if not decorate them on Friday before the rehersal.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/SUS-TT-M.jpg

I found these boots, I saw some with a more pointed heel but I think these will do me better being in them all evening. Just $40.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/mydivascloset_1876_31470652.gif

If i can find the extra few dollars I would like to have one of these for one of the ring bearers to carry.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/W04716_013lr.jpg

I think we agreed on these vows, very simple and short but they fit us to a tea, i love them. What do you think?

Witness and Share the Joy

Minister:
Welcome to the marriage of ____________ and ____________.
You have been asked to gather here to witness and share in the joy of this union.

Groom:
There was darkness for a long time and then there was light, and that light was you. Your love has given me wings, and our journey begins today. I pledge before this assembled company to be your husband from this day forward. Let us make of our two lives one life. I want you for today, tomorrow, and forever.

Bride:
I have dreamed my whole life of having someone as wonderful as you love me the way you do. I give myself to you as your wife, and I promise here to treasure for all of my days the love we celebrate today. Let us bring together our lives and find ourselves anew each day.

Minister to Bride:
____________, will you take ____________ as your husband, in happiness and with patience and understanding, through conflict and tranquility?

Bride:
I will.
Ring is placed on Groom’s finger.

Minister to Groom:
____________, will you take ____________ as your wife, in happiness and with patience and understanding, through conflict and tranquility?

Groom:
I will.

Ring is placed on Bride’s finger.

Minister:
In the years which shall bring ____________ and ____________ into greater age and wisdom, we hope that their love shall be ever young; that they shall be able to always recover from moments of despair. In this hope, may they keep the vows made on this day, in freedom, teaching each other who they are, what they yet shall be, enabling them to know that, in the fullness of being, they are more than themselves and more than each other, that they are all of us, and that together we share joyously the fruits of life on this earth, our home.

Inasmuch as ____________ and ____________ have declared their love to each other before family and friends, I now greet them with you as husband and wife.

You may kiss.

OK Nicholas just came in and I mentioned the kisses. He said he wants skittles. So I think we will put skittles in the hats.

Let me explain....... my pc name Rainbowtreat....... I was asked once in the quiz room where we met what was at the end of my rainbow gold or candy...... I said well seeing that my name rainbowTREAT i'd have to say candy.... one of my nic names ...... SKITTLES........ my FH was not in there for that convosation and he was all excited thinking he was the first to call me that...... he was not and felt all disapointed........but he always called me skittles...... teasing me in a way like ... taste the rainbow ;) .... yeah he's a guy but I love him.....

So needless to say he wants skittles incorpated in the wedding. They may be on the table around the cake as well. And they are colorful. I think I can get pastel ones too.

OMG, I love everything! I love the cupcake thing, LOVE the white go-go boots ;) The votives with the rose petals are lovely, this is one of my fav little things, simple yet elegant ... and the rainbow 'ice' is a nice touch too  And the chocoalte kisses are always a good call.

Looks like you got a great deal on the wedding camera's ... I don't know the exposure of the ones you picked but I found these for like $2.75 (but they are not the same color) - http://www.ecamerafilms.com/wemeca15exfl.html

The vows are very nice too :D

Looks like you got it all down now :) Only 4 months to go! I bet you are so excited! Good luck with the finishing touches *smile*

This is a scan of the actual fabric, one of each of the girls colors.

I got to thinking that I will only need about 6 tables for the guest and it would be cool if I could decorate each one the same way but in its own color. I dont know yet i may stick with my plan of how i am doing it now but I liked the idea of it when I thought of it. Also, I am hopign to know what the line up will be by the time the guys order their tuxes. I want to have it all worked out so the guys vest will match the girls dress. I think it would be real cool. If not the boutniers(sp?) will any way.

OK my style of dresses very ALOT. Every gown I looked at and loved was very different. I knew once I walked into the shop today that I would come out with something totaly different then I had planned on. And I DID! I GOT MY DRESS TODAY!!!!!! And I got my daugthers dress who is going to be the JR. Bride.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/100_0936.jpg
This is the detail on the front. The skirt part is all white and she said I could add a ribbon of the same color if I wanted to but I dont think I will.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/100_0937.jpg
This is the full dress. The train is a bit messed up in this picture but you get the idea.

This is the detail on the back. Pretty much the same as the front.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/100_0935.jpg
And this is just another look at it. It needs to be taken out so t is not an exact fit yet. But you get the idea of it. She gave me more then the 20% off that I was told I would get for booking with her at the Bridal show. The cost was $480 she gaveit to me for $375. My budget was $300 and I budgeted $100 for my daughters dress but I got that for $65. So I only went over a total of $40.

One of my brides maids came over today with the glasses I was looking at.

The were on line at Target for $24.99. I saw them for $9.99 last weekend. She was there today and the set of 12 was only $4.99 and she knew I wanted them so she bought them for me. My first offical wedding purchase, besides my dress that is lol. I wanted to be able to do somethign like these ones.

They would go so good with my rainbow theme. But they are a bit more expensive. A set of 4 for $12.99 and I got the 12 for $4.99. A no brainer there. I am so excited to be able to start buying the little things I need.

About the alternative to the acrylic 'ice' you could look at glass marbles or other decorative stones. I think those would be just as nice and you might be able to find something like that cheaper.

Good luck with everything! Hope all is going well!

Ok you will all probably think I am crazy but around here can you go outside and find rocks that are different colors? When the rocks are wet the color is much prettier. That would cost you nothing. I know where we work we sell fractured drainage stone and there are green, red/purple and some other colors mixed. Maybe this won't work. Just an idea. The rocks wouldn't be as colorful as the acrylic ones but it would be free.

I have been working on my budget and what I need and want for the past oh I'd say 3 hours now. :ura1: I have it $50 under budget so far.

What I need for the tables and such for the reception is this.....

Reception Decorations etc.
A Budget of $550.00

Cowboy Boots Centerpiece mug -
$12.95 x 8 = $104.00 Do you have to have the cowboy boots or can it be something with a western theme? You could get small little clear vases (usually about $1) and tie larat rope around them instead of ribbon, glue one f the little hats in the center and put flowers in your wedding colors in them. You should be able to catch the silk stems at michaels and hobby lobby, etc right now for pretty cheap.
A vase maybe shaped kinda like this:
http://www.michaels.com/online/images/c00178_ma.jpg (javascript:showImageWindow()

Clear Votive Holders -
12 for $7.19 x 7 = $50.33 - Every other week or so, Michaels has a package of 12 w/candles for $4.99. That would save you over $15 right there. OR....you can get thenm with one of there 1/2 off coupons. May have to go several times ;) in order to get them all at the cheap price.

Acrylic Ice 300 pcs. per color -
$14.99 x 4 = $59.96 - Youre right, you can get the colored marbles for ALOT cheaper, big bag, maybe$1.50.

Assorted colored tea-lights -
108 for $9.99 - Again....crafts stores will put these on sale. I got 100 for $3.99.

Cowboy hat favor holders-
12 for $7.95 x 6 = $47.70 - Where did you find these and can you get them cheaper....you can uses these to "western" up things and save money.

Tulle Circles-
25 for $2.25 x 2 = $4.50

Roll of White Tulle 9" x 100 yards -
$13.95 - Here Wal Mart has their tulle, for $1 a yard.

Personalized Ribbon - You can get 50 for $10, or do you NEED 100?
100 @ $15.99

Cowboy Bubbles-
24 @ $5.49 x 2 = $10.98 - not bad for this

Runner - $20.00 ( for wedding not reception ) You could make your own runner by buying the material from WalMart, etc.

Rose Petals 500 per bag -
$8.00 x 4 = $36.00 I think you can find these cheaper too,

White Lights 50 lights = 16 ft.-
$2.99 x 6 = $17.94 Try contacting certain stores and see if they still have any left from Christmas, you can get them for really really cheap!

Ivy Garland 48 ft - Are you meaning 48 inches (4ft.)? If so, at Hobby Lobby, the have the arch garland with roses AND ivy for $20 for a 6 ft. You could always get a stem of whatever coloerd roses for about $1 and add the color to it. If you use their coupons or catch their 1/2 off sale, you can get it for $10.
$12.99

Rose Garland 48 ft. - See above
$14.99

Camera for each table-
$3.79 x 5 = $18.95 - Not a bad price for this, but you sometimes can get a pacakge of 2 for $6 at WalMart.

Champagne Flutes for wedding party -
set of 12 for $24.99 - You have these already, right? and saved $20?

Wedding Charm set for glasses - I wonder if there is another way to personalize the wedding partys glasses and save money.....I will check on it.
$23.95 ( plus some for a few extras )

A set of glasses for bride and groom-
$20.00 ? You can get these on oriental trading, with your names and wedding date on them for $9.00 for 2.

Table Cloths, plates, napkins, silver wear, cups etc.
$75.00 ? Check party supply stores for these, you can find all the colors you want and you wont pay an arm and a leg. You can also look at a site posted by Kelli, if you dont mind the plates and stuff being the same color and get bulk for cheap. http://www.partysecret.com/

Total so far ---- $522.38

I have a few more ideas, but Im checking on prices and availablity before I post them.

Youre saving money by having it at someones house, that helps. How much is the hall gonna cost? You can save there by going back to your original plan of having it at the same place as the ceremony. The potluck will save you money on the food part (and is a VERY cool idea!)
I can probably come up with more, i just need to think about it.

CindySue
02-02-2006, 12:46 PM
Ok.....thought of something else. Do you HAVE to have a DJ? I mean is there someone you know that could do it? You can always borrow CD's and burn a wedding day CD of the songs you want in the order you want them. We looked it up ourselves and to do it ourselves will save us $300. We have the eguipment or know someone that does, we can burn our own music, we have a mic, and can get someone to play mc.

rainbowtreat
02-02-2006, 09:36 PM
Thanks alot all of you.

The DJ.... this is something I realy wanted. This is only gonna cost us $350 for 3 hours and the time doesnt start until Nicholas and I arrive. I went with having a DJ once I got the hall ( which is only costing me $100 by the way ) because it took the place of the money I would have had to spend if I had it outside by renting tables and chairs and tents. That would have cost me just as much. So either way that money was spent.

All the ideas sounds great. I am trying to figure thigns out and I am looking around ALOT. I realy want the little cowboy hats. I can't find them any cheaper. I figured we could get some twine to tie up the candy that we will fill them with and add a tag ( maybe burn the edges ) that reads soemthing like Gwen and Nicholas got Hitched on June 10th 2006. So that would take away the personlized ribbon I was gonna get.

I found a bag of assorted colored rose petals on orentail gardens site for $11.95 I think for 1000 pieces. I think this would work. If I got 2 bags of these. The only color that is different then what I want is there is red instead of pink. But I think it will still work.

I am thinking I could use plain white tea lights that I know I can get a huge bag for cheap. Instead of the colored ones seeing there will be color else where.

I also saw western confetti but if I have the rose petals I dont think I need this.

My big thing is the center pieces. I loved the boots but I need something cheaper and I want it to be of the western theme so I am racken my brain here and Nicholas siad to give him some time to think on that one.

As it stands the biggest part of our budget is going to the clothing for the 4 of us and the DJ and hall. Nihcolas realy wanted the cowboy hat and boots and now he is saying forget the hat lets just get the boots. but I kow how bad he wanted this so I want to make it work. so If I can cut down the decorations part of it I should be able to make it work.

Again thank you all and keep your ideas coming.

OK I finaly got to order some things.

I spent this morning on the pc spending about $300 but I got all except the votive holders I need. I also went to the dollar store while my laundry was drying at the laundry mat, with 2kids in tow AGAIN. I bought colord stones to fill the votive holders with once I find some. And I got rock to put in the boots. They are real rocks, natural looking just a bit shiny. And I got a bunch of fake wild flowers, or what look like would be wild flowers to me.

What I want to do is put the rocks in the bottom of the glass boot and put the wild flowers in them. To me roses was just to fancy looking for the look I am going for. I will have rose petals on the tables though.

This is what i got from the dollar store......

and the wild flowers to put in the boots

I ordered the glass boots, tea lights, my garter, my boots ( the knee high ones pictured in my posts) , garland rose and ivy, the hat favors, FH ordered is cowboy boots, 2 bags of rose petals ( pictured below ) , the tulle cirlce for the favors in lavender and mint green and white tulle for decorating. I think that is all lol my list is in the other room and the next time i go in there is to be falling into that bed lol.

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/3_786.jpg

the only color in here tha tI am not using is the red. But it may not make that big of a differance. And if I don't like it I will just pick them out. The rest of the colors are my colors. I got 2 bags of 1000 petals each. We are looking at glasses for us that say bride and groom and the cake topper. It may differe a bit from the one I want but I can't find tha tone any more. I found one that I might get and just add the sign that says gettin hitched. I am not sure if i mentioned this yet but what I want to do with the favors is this......... wrap skittles in the tulle and tie with rope or twine and add a tag that looks rustic ( maybe burn the edges or soemthing ) and write on them Gwen and Nicholas got Hitched June 10th, 2006. This will be our personalized favors. I can't wait till it all come in. OK am off to bed now.

Oh and my ring looks soooo awsome!!!!!!!

Glad things are coming together. Everything looks wonderful!

If you are looking for a way to personalise the glasses for cheap, check at your craft store for some of that etching paste. It looks like peanut butter, but you can use a stencil and put each person's name on their glass, and maybe just get a little bit of ribbon in each color of the rainbow and maybe tie a ribbon around each stem... I'm trying to explain...

Here's your table, and each ribbon at the place setting is an 'X':

____X____X____X____X____X____X____X____X____X____X ____
......BM....BM....BM.....BM....Bride.Groom.GM....G M....GM.....GM.....

Ive never had tea that way, but its pretty common among the "well - to - do" folks around here and usually in hot tea. Me, I just pour mine over ice and go to gulping!!!

I've done the paper dipped in tea before. It turns out looking awesome. I would definatly say to try it.
BTW, I am a big hot tea person! My mom gave it to usewhen we were little kids in our sippy cups. We've always used milk in ours. Of course, my grandmother is from Wales and I still have a lot of relatives living over there, so that's probably where I get it from.

I've had milk in my tea. It's not my cup of tea. I'm with Cindy. My cup of tea os sweetened and iced!! :)

But definitley go with the tea, not the fire. The burning the edges will take forever! But, if you do go with it, maybe use an electric stove. Won't take as long, and might be a little safer...

Plus, the charred edges might rub off on your guest's clothes.

I think the tea bag idea is great. I know if I burned the edges the whole thing would end up in flames :bbeek:

I am takign in the tea thing thanks. I was just looking aorund Wal-Mart today seeing I got out of work early and had no kids with me ( WOW ). I found some small tin pails. I got 4 of them to hold the forks and such. I got 2 smaller ones which I am sure I will find a use for some where. They were just too cute and cheap to pass up. I also got some Raffia to tie the tulle that will hold the candy in the little hats. My camera dock is not coroperating or I would post the pics. I am so excited about everything that I just want to show it all to you all. Once the dock stops being a pain in the arse I will post a picture of the pails. I though they would go so well with the theme.

Up here we put milk in Earl Grey or Orange Peko tea. The flavoured tea i don't put milk in.
Dying paper with tea is nice. Just make sure that you use somthing to flatten it out afterwards.
Good luck!

Thanks guys. I got home today to my neighbor saying he accepted a package from UPS for me. It was my little cowboy hats. I am getting so excited. I am thinking of ordering my sons boots tonight. FH has already ordered his. And mine are on the way.

My FMIL called last night and asked her son what I was doing when he said nothing she asked where is she he said standing right in froont of me why, she said let me talk to her. I got on the phone and she said I didn't call to talk to him. lol Nicholas was a little shocked. So was I actually. This is the first time we actualyy TALKED for more then a min. I told Nicholas all it took for us to talk was for him to tell her we were getting married. The reason she wanted to talk to me was that I e-mailed her and asked her for some pictures of Nicholas gorwing up. I want to do something with pictures of us growing up until we got together. But I want it to be a suprise for him. And I also told her if she wants to be updated on details of the wedding just let me know. She said she wanted to be included and if I ever wanted to talk to her but not have him hear me just call her ona night he is working. Nicholas said as long as you 2 aren't conspiring against me. It all sounds good so far.

Glad to hear things are coming together for you. Also glad to hear about developing a good relationship with the FMIL ;)

I got my votive holders today and my FH boots arrived. ( can't wait to see them on him :bblol: )

When I was talking to my sister the other day on IM she aked if her husband could wear his 3 piece suit he just got. I said I think Nihcolas is going with tuxes. She said this way we wouldnt have to spend the money.

I told her that if we had to we would try to pay for half of his tux if it came down to that.

But on the inside I was saying, I bought my dress for you wedding when i didnt realy have the money for it and never woare it again. You dont have to put money into getting your dress becasue you lucked out and my best friend gave you one she had because it was the same color and style so you dont have to dish out any money there. AND I am buying you daughters flower girl dress. All you have to do is dress your 2 yr old boy in a nice looking suite as a ring bearer. I live pay check to pay check and YOU sit there and tell me you dont want to have to spend the money on a tux for MY wedding when you sit ther eand never have to worry about where you next tank of gas is comign from or that you have diapers for your child because you MIL has AWLAYS bougth ALL of you kids diapers and wipes and such. Not to mention filling your fridge with food when you BOTH work and make good money. This is a load of :censored: if you ask me.

Ok this is what I said on the inside. They wedding is at her house and I DON'T want to cause stress between her and I cause my sister WILL not let it go like I would. Her little brother is also in the wedding ( not my brother btw, her and I have different dads and he had another child with some one eles after leaving my mom but we are all still close ) and his dad is going to have to rent him a tux because we ARE NOT having every guy show up with some thign different on. I had her dad and my dad give me away at my first wedding and her dad was the only one not in a tux. Messed things up a little. But I never siad anyhting. He is not giving me awya this time my mom is. But his son is in the wedding party and he WILL be in a tux.

OK I think i just had my little ramp for the night.

But on a lighter note..... I talk to a girl at work alot, we went to a bridla show together and she was with me when I got my dress. She is gettign marreid May 20th. So we spend alot of our day taling about our weddings and bouncing ideas off each other.

Her and I had the same thing we were tryign to figure out. We are both having a potluck reception. We just had a hard time figuring out who was going to tend to the food, light the candles, pour drinks fo rthe toast and what not. So I offerend her soemthing. I said how about this, I do all that for your wedding and you do it for mine. She was all for it. So me and my FH will be helpign them out big time by doing this for her so her family and freinds can enjoy themselves and not have to worry about any of that. And in return I get the same thing from her and her husband at my wedding. We both felt a huge weight lift off us. They funny thing is our men have no idea we just signed them up for a job lol.

Ok I now have to go feed the monsters and see what my saughter is gettign into the my son wants my help with some thing. I hope to be back to read up on the rest of your journals after the monsters are in bed.

Wow, Rainbow. I totally understand where you're coming from. Glad to hear that you can trade help, though. I am going to have to find someone to be the 'smooth-it-out' person and take care of the little things that I don't want to have to worry about it.

I really do understand where you're coming from. I know someone like that. Their parents pay for everything, and send them money whenever. They're not expected to have a job because they're in school, but it's not even full time. All they do is party, and blow their money on booze and drugs. When we're worried about getting dinner to eat, they're not willing to lend us $20 till payday (most of the time because the money was spent the night before on beer) and this person is family.

I know how you feel honey! I commend you on being able to hold your tounge. I might not be able to.

Your plans are coming along so nicely! I can't wait to see your pics.

You had more control than I would if someone fussed over a tux. They're not that expensive. It's just something you do when you're in a wedding, or at least that's how I feel about it.

I think it is wonderful that you and your friend are helping each other out. That's a great idea! I was actually thinking of asking a close friend of mine to help me a little on the wedding day. I'll need someone to make sure that the cake gets in there and set up right (she's a pastry chef, so she's good to be in charge) and just make sure that the caterer and DJ are all good to go. She's also going to be my "ushette", if she would like to be.

I am also having a western wedding we will be married infront of a barn im trying to get horses to ride in on. we will all be wearing cowboy hat and boots. this is not my first wedding so i didnt want to wear white but here is the dress im wearing. our flower girl will be laying down saw dust because that is what they put on the floors at western dance halls and my 6yr old is our ring bearer he will have fake guns and a holster once he gets to to the alter he is going to turn around and pull them out like hes in a gun fight. My main goal in our wedding is to have fun and have our family become one.

Thanks for the rep. Carrie :D . And I am sure Becky thanks ya too.

I got hoem today to find my garters have arrived and my rose petals and my cake top and the bride and groom glasses. I can't beelive I have all this stuff and now I have to wait almost 4 months to put it all togehter.

Here are the pictures of my center pieces, the canldes, not sure how I going to do the candles yet, cause it looks better if I take the tea light out of the tin it is in but if I burn them I am not sure how it would go. I guess I am going to have to play around with it at home first. And the tin buckets i am using to put silver wear in and the smaller one the flower girl is going to carry instead of a basket. I also picked up my nieces dress, she is the flower girl. I am not usre yet if Nicholas' little cousin is going to be a ring bearer or not. If he is his mom will dress him and my sister is dressing her little boy. They wont be matching exactly so I didnt want to make the flower girls match. I am waiting to see if we have the 2 ring bearers or not. If we dont I am going to cut out one of the flowers girls. She is my friends daughter and that means my freidn can come with no kids and enjoy herself. OK rambling here hre are my pictures.

I have my first dess fitting on April 15 and I now have my boots to wear to it. I can't wait till it is June 10th and we are at the reception and I am dancing with Nicholas. I want that day to be here so bad so I dont have to worry about the money and how things are going to be done and when and so on and so forth. I can't take it any more.

OK I am off tomorrow to see my mom and my sister then stop and meet with my photographer on Monday on the way home. Maybe I will get some ideas from my family of how and when for the little things like decorating and where to stand for the ceremony and what not. OK If I dont stop now I will ramble on and on. I am back from my sisters. Her and I talked alot about the wedding. We are now going to be getting married on her deck. I had planned on coming out of the slidign glass doors and down the steps and around to the tree. But as I was looking at the yard this weekend I got to noticing that the tree is very close to the road and we can't stop cars from driving by. So no we are going to use the deck. I will come out of the other door ont he other side of the house and come around the house. The wedding party will be standing on the deck and Nicholas and I will be on the top step so the guest on the lawn will be able to see us well enough. And the best mand and maid of honor will be standing on the ground next to the steps.

My sister came up with a great idea for marking off where the aisle will be. She is going to get a bunch of steaks that you use in a garden. She said they are about 4 feet high. She is going to mark out the aisle with them and string ribbon from on to the next. I think it will look great once it's in place.

We did get alot done, more then I expected to. I also was told that my brother in law and his mom want to do the food for our reception. As a gift to us. So his mom and I talked about what kind of things I want for the buffet. We got that sorted out. Then on the way home I stopped and talked with my photographer. We got a few more things figured out. I realy got alot taken care of.

We are home now and back to work tomorrow. If I dont get sick that is. Nicholas is in bed sick, when we left my mom was sick and since we got home I called to let my sister know we made it ok and her husband is sick. Cross you fingers that me and the kids dont get it.

I am trying to get my doc to work so I can put up the pictures of my favors.

I go in a month ( April 15th ) to get fitted for my dress. My daughter goes at the same time.

I have to find a tux for my 4 yr old. I don't want to rent one for $85 for him. I should be able to find one to buy cheaper then that. And I still need to get his cowboy boots. The ones I have looked at are about $40.

Things to do ro get still....

the dresses to be altered, Nicholas' tux, Dean's ( my son ) tux and boots, shoes etc for Jessa ( my daughter ), the DJ still needs $250, money for getting my hair and Jessas hair done the day of, and maybe my nails, and the only thing left to buy if I am right for the reception is the table cloths, napkins, etc. We still need to buy wedding bands. I hope I haven't forgot any thing.

The invites are being worked on. ( again trying to get the doc to work )

I am waiting for the ink to arrive so I can finish printing them off. I need to get envelopes for them. I also need to come up with a response card. And I need to add something in there that lets them know about what hotels there are in town and such. Any ideas on these would be grate.

Now I need to get these all printed, floded, torn, and stamped. Once I get the envelopes from Lacey then I will be all set to get these out. OMG I have about 2 weeks to get them done and mailed. I just got off the phone iwthmy aunt and uncle in Maine. My uncle is going to play the bagpipes for us. He iwll play them for us to walk down the aisle to. I can't wait! That is going to be so cool. And my aunt is a hair dresser and she is going to do mine and my daughters hair for the wedding so I dont have to worry about money for that. I am so excited and I had no one to tell so I had to come on here.

OH yeah and my mom called to make sure Nicholas decided to go with the tux. She is taking my little brohter ( he will be 16 just before the wedding ) to get fitted for his tux next week. I also asked her to ger Roman ( my sisters brother, long story, and my brother-in-law together and get all their tuxes at once so the get the same one. And then I aksed her to get a picture of the tux for me so I can send it to Keith in Ohio. I am not sure how he is going to pull this off. Most places you rent a tux from dont get them in untill about 3 days before the wedding and then you have to have it back a day or 2 after. He is coming from Ohio. But I guessI will let him work that out. Things are realy coming together. I am getting excited about this again.

OK things keep coming to me after I post something lol. Last night Nicholas was on the phone with his mom. Her and her mother will be at our place a couple of days before we leave for Maine. ( we are headed up on the thursday before to get things in order ) My friend from Australia will be hre June 1st. Good thing we are getting a bigger apartment. I can't wait to get in there. I should realy be packing more then I have been.

I found a picutre I am thinking of trying something like this for the classes for the wedding party.
http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ws37b.jpg

I am thinking of adding the tags that I have on the cowboy hats for these or make different ones that say their names and titles. That I still need to decide on.

For the guy's tuxes, if you have a Men's Wearhouse around you, check them out. They are a national store and you can rent a tux from one state and return it in another. They'll work things out for you and their prices were pretty reasonable.

Joe and I were concerned about his friend from TN and the tuxes (if he decided to ask him to be the bestman).

rainbowtreat
04-04-2006, 11:16 PM
Thanks but we dont have a Men's Wearhouse near us. I thin I might have to do as Canadianbride saidand have him measured in Ohio and have it ordered where Nicholas is getting his. They are thinking of trying to be here a couple of days before we head to Maine anyways so that would be perfect. I will have to call them soon.

We got our wedding bands tonight. Nicholas wiated till I got home before he looked at them. They are perfect. I can't wait to be able to wear it. Looks awsome with my diamond.

I got a stamp of a cowboy boot and a copper colored stamp pad. I am stamping the invites right under the word love on the top of the inside. We have been working on them to try and get them out next week. Just waiting on the addresses from my mom, step-mom and his mom. I will post a picture as soon as I can. Just trying to get them done and sent on their way.

Nicholas helped me out with the invites a little bit. I had him stuff the reply envelopes while I folded and tore the edge. Than last night I addressed my half. I got the addresses from my mom and my step mom. There are still a couple I need to get butmost of them are done. Nicholas has to get his half off his mom so we can get these damn things in the mail.

I just got off the phone with my sister. She is as excited as I am about getting everything together for my wedding. She has been cleaning up her yard and making it all nice for the day. She is in charge of decorating her deck for me. She has a gift for decorating. I know it will be beautiful. She is also going to get garden stakes to make an aisle for me. They are about 4' high or so and she is going to add ribbon or tulle to conect them with. I will be coming out her front door and around to the side of her house where the deck is. We are going to be married in front of the deck. And for the picutres I think I am going to have us stop at the river down town. There is the St. Croix river that seperates us from Canada. If you face down river there are no buildings in sight. I think they would make great pictures. I so can't wait.

OK I realy need to stop posting like this lol. I will go off and read and reply to posts then somethign will pop into my head.

Besides the girl I am not sure about having in my wedding I have one that may not be able to be there. Christine has been my best friend here in NH for about 8 yrs or so now. She is pregnant. She has always had a problem getting pregnant and was on bed rest during the end of her first. ( he is now 2 ) But this time the baby is fine and growing just like it should and no problems, from the baby any ways. This time her body has decided to form a blood sack on her uterus. If it burst she wont just lose the baby but she could hemerage. All they can do is wait and hope it goes away on its own. She ahs been on bed rest for about 2 months now. At her last ultra sound it was not good news. The blood sack has gotten bigger. So again, more bed rest. She is playing the waiting game. She is keeping her hopes up though. She has talked to me about havign her grandmother making her dress to fit over her 6 months pregnant belly. I told her to do what ever she needs to. I just pray everything turns out for the better. I will feel sad if she has to miss my wedding. She has been there for every thing. From my engagments to my first , in that wedding, there when I had my kids, comes to all their birthday parties, was the oen who took me to see a lawyer and supported me through my divorce, and beyond. We dont talk every day, not even once a week. But she is there no matter what I needed. She is an amazing girl and she derserves nothign but the best. So pray for her you guys. Not just so she can be at my wedding, but so her and the baby will be ok.

rainbowtreat
04-17-2006, 06:56 PM
Well Nicholas has his cowboy boots. But I am not sure about the hat. Not sure if it is in the budget. He just put $300 into his truck and it goes back in the shop for another $200 worth of work on Wed. So needless to say our budget is getting smaller and smaller.

They are going out this week ened. A month before the wedding instead of 2 months before. But even if only the wedding party and our failies are there we will be happy. I called the city hall in Portland Maine today. I have to go there to get my marriage license. I asked what was needed and how close to the wedding can we do it. So I am trying to get my day off to match Nicholas' so we can take the day and go up there. I dont want to wait too close to the wedding in case something funky happens. I got the forms off line and I have to go to the court hosue on Monday to pick up my official divorce papers. I ahve to have one with the court seal on it to get my license. That will cost me $5 and the license will cost us $30.

We still have to pay half on Nicholas' tux- $60

and pay for the alterations on mien and my daughters dress $65 each

I still need to find somethign for my son to wear and both kids need shoes

The cake is goign to cost us about $60, $12 for the 8" round top and $45 I think for 6 dozen cupcakes. Still no idea how I am decorating them yet. I am thinkign just white frosting and then deal with decorating the stand to spruce it up. I will have all my girls with me when we put it together any ways.

I still have to get pictures from my mom of me as a child to put together the poster board of pictures I want to do for Nicholas.

My sister is takign care of alot of things. I just got the number of my DJ so I have to call him and see about getting together the songs we want to use.

I have to decide what we want for food so my BIL and his mom can get things going there.

I need to get the sand and bottles I want to do the sand ceremony witht he kids.

And I need to get together with Lizabeth about how the ceremony is going to go. I dont have alot of time. Just over a month to go.

I have to say I am looking forward to this but I will be glad when it is all over and I dont have to worry any more.

Not sure we can afford to do much for a Honeymoon. We may just go down to the ocean and stay at a hotel for a ocuple fo nights. I told Nicholas I dont care what we do I just want to get away for a couple of days to relax.

I got my sons and my nephew's suits today. My son is the Jr Groom and my nephew is the ring bearer. My sons suit is the black pants, white shirt black tie and a 3 button vest that has silver in it, it will match Nihcolas' so good. He just wont have a jacket. But they were going to charge me $85 for a tux for a little 4 yr old so I opted to buy it. Not sure where my camera is right now ( Nicholas had it last for work ) but as soon as I find it i will post a picture. My nephews suit is black pants, a light blue shirt with a button collar so no tie needed, and his vest is a 4 button with a pattern of blue in it. They were $30 each on clearance at Sears for $17.99.

I also got the bottles and sand for the sand ceremony we are doing with our kids. I got black sand for Nicholas, while for me, purple fo rmy daughter and green for my son. I also got 3 small bottles to make some up for my mom his mom and his grandmother.

I also got my veil. I spent $18 on it at Michales. I was not about to spend $65 for the exact same thnig at the bridal shop. It is 38 in. long and 72 in. wide. It has a wide ribbon edge to it. Here is the picture from the package.

I think they want the name of the officiant, if you know who will be doing it, but people don't always know when they go to get it, so they don't expect you to know what it is! Just as long as you didn't go and tell them Elizabeth Davis all ready we are all set..the last name is Perkins right now, but don't worry, none of that matters right now! One o fmy brides maids is coming down this weekend to help me decorate the wedding party glasses. I have every thign I need just not sure how I am doing them yet. I have this to go by.........

http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c167/rainbowtreat/ws37b.jpg

I like this idea. And I have all the things to do this ( I think ).

I still need to get a hold of the DJ and see about the song list and such.

We are having Lasagna , salad, and rolls for our meal. And there will be appatizers, sodas, and coffee and such. All for the cost of having people who love me. My brother in law and his mom are doing this for me. My brother in law is in the wedding so his mom will be doing most of it.

We have our rehersal set for 6:30 Friday night. Lizabeth is all set to come down for that.

I talked to the dress shop. My dress and my daughters dress are just about finished. She will be calling me this week to come in for another fitting.

My freinds from Australia will be here next Thrusday, the same day my son graduates pre-school. I can't wait for this.

Nicholas mom and nana will be here about 4 or 5 days after that.

My freind with the bed rest issue called yesterday. She is off bed rest but now has problems with the baby. We know it is a girl. But the problem now is the baby either swallowed the blood from the blood sack that had put her on bed rest. Or the baby has a digestive problem and if so that will be fixed with surgery when she is born. My friend has to go to a bigger and better hospital in the next couple of days for a better ultrasound. She was told a weddin gis ok for her to be in but he really doesnt want her traveling that far. I told her I would love for her to be there but I dont want her to compromise anything. She said she feels the same way. Most likely she wont go. BUt I wouldnt want anything to happen to her or the baby.

My sister has her dress all figured out.

The vows are all set just about. Thanks Lizabeth.

The favors have to wait till the week of the wedding to put together so the candy wont get stale.

And I need to call my freind about the cake. I will do that this week.

Am I forgetting anything?

I need to make a list of every thing that has to go to Maine with us. It isn't like I can just run home if we forget something. It is about 6 to 7 hours away.

I wasn't plannign on doing programs but I am thinking about it now. I have some time.

I came home to a message on my answering machine from the bridal shop. Both dresses ( mien an dmy daughters ) are ready to be fitted again. I will have the money to pay for both of them this weekend. I am going to try calling tomorrow and see if we can get in there on Sat. to try them on. I am going to take every thing, boots, veil, and headpiece. And my daughter has her shoes. I can't decide if I want to bring it home or leave it at the shop. I have to hang it up some where so it wont get all wrinkled. As it is it will be bagged up for the trip home for the wedding. So I want it to be hung up. If I leave it at the shop it will just be sitting in a bag. But I have no where here at home to hang it where Nicholas wont see it. Maybe I can take it to one of my freinds house. Oen has a cat the other has a 2 yr old. I knoe they would never let anythign happen to it on purpose. But I dont want to worry. Maybe a freind from work can hang it up at her place. She doenst have kids or pets. And I know Nicholas will never be there. I dont now what I am doing. AARRGGG Is it June 10th yet? lol

OK I go in tomorrow at 1 for a fitting for my dress. My kids are at their dads so I will be pickingmy daughter up from school early on Tuesday becaue I have a half day of work so she can try her dress on and make sure it fits right. I don't want to wait untill next Saturday to take her incase somethig has to be fixed. Seeing we are headed to Maine that following Thursday.

I asked my mom to try to reach my DJ. We all know him because we lived next door to him for a long while growing up. Not that we are close or anything. I doubt he would know me if he bumped into me on the street. But we know each other none the less. And he is the only DJ in that area. I have had him booked since Jan. He has the deposit as well. Well I cant reach him. And there is not much I can do from here. My mom has tried calling but never gets an answer. She even called where he works but she was told he was not working today. She is going over to the town he lives in tomorrow. She is going to track him down one way or another for me. Thanks god for my mom. Between her and my sister this wedding is going to be perfect.

So that is where I stand at the moment.

Thanks You Shawna !!!!! I have 2 weeks from today. And today is the first and last day in a long time Nicholas and I ahve together ALONE. No kids no work. Nothing. Next weekend we may not have thekids but my GF from Australia will be here.

I kow what you mean about every one getting married. I almost cant keep up with them all seeing I have so much to do with my own.

All though things have changed a bit about the wedding I am still excited and cant wait to see it all come together.

I went from 6 colors to 3. So I have pink, yellow, light blue on the girls, and I hve the mint green and the lilac as the accent colors on my dress. It should still look nice. I cant wait.

Once Suzie gets here next Thursday I will be in prime wedding mode.

Thanks Karen, I cant wait to see it all come together.

My mom called. She talked to my DJ. He said he will be calling me on the 5th. Five days before my wedding. He said he waits to put the mucis together for the wedding till that week so he doesn't get the music mixed up with another wedding. He said last year he had to mixed up and was playing the wrong music at one of the weddings. Well I am happy she got a hold of him and happy that he takes the steps to make sure this doens't happen.

So all is good. Now I just need to find the number of my friend who said she would do out cake for us and get in touch with her and let her know what we want. Then I think eveythign major is taken care of. I will let you all know how my dress fits after I go try it on this after noon.

Well I didnt take my camera. One reason was it was just me, I know I could have had them take a picture for me but I hve snother reason. The other, I dont want any one seeing me all put together untill that day. I just want every oen to be excited and not know anything. They ahve seen all the pieces but not all togehter. Not just you all either, but If I have pictures I will show them off. I wouldn't be able not to lol.

But besides that everything looks great. I had the jewlery, veil, tiara, boots and dress on. The dress fits sooo good. I bought my veil from a different place then the shop I got my dress at but the asked if I wanted them to press the veil as well. So they kept it will my dress. I go back on Tuesday for my daughter to try her's on to make sure it fits good. Then they dresses will stay there until Thursday the 8th when we go pick them up to head to Maine. They will press the dresses ( andmy veil ) and not pack it up in the bag until I get there to pick it up. So my dress will be packed up for about 7 or8 hours. But Idont think it will be to bad. As it stands today the dress was in good shape for being altered and stuffedin the bag and pulled out a few times. So I dont think I should have too much of a problem with wrinkles.

I CAN'T WAIT!! I didnt want to take it off today. I want to wear it so bad. That dress is staying on for as long as I can wear it that day.

I will be on and off a few times for the next couple of nights. On Tuesday night Nihcolas' family will be getting her late. I work Wed. and then I have some visiting to do and the favors to put togehter. So I doubt I will be able to get a chance to get on here. We head to Maine on Thrusday afternoon and then the madness begins. I have something I have to do withmy kdis and my neice Friday afternoon. Then we have rehersal at 6:30 and my brothers 16th birthday party rihgt after that. Then up early Sat. to get things decorated and every thing else we have to do before the wedding at 4:00. Then to the reception some time after 5 after all the pictures are taken. Then after that is a play by ear kinda night. If the reception dies down early and a bunch of us are not ready to head off we may end up at the bar or at my sisters house before Nicholas and I head to the hotel. Then Sunday morning before every one leaves town we want to get them together for a late breakfast some where. This way Nicholas gets to see him mom again before she heads off to go home. We may spend another day or 2 in town visiting with my mom and sister. We may take our time coming home. This would be a good time to take the coastly route that I have always wanted to take. Nicholas has to be back at work by Thursday. He works Thurs. and Fri. and then ahs sat. off. So on Sat. we are going to take my freind who will still be here from Australia down to the Wears to Bike Week. I will be sure to get pictures of that too. Then it is back to work for me on Monday. So I will be back on here Thursday the 15th. Wish me luck all incase I dont get the chance to see and talk to you all over the next couple of days.

I am holding up pretty good. Got a little bit of butterflies today after work. I am no use at work right now. My mind is not there at all. I havea few loose ends to take care of and this time tomorrow night there will be a house full of people.

I am excited more then anything. The money issue is a bit of a problem, always a stress but I am managing.

Over all all is good. I just can't wait now. I am not too worried about the DJ cause my mom will hunt him down for me. And I will be there Thursday night so I can get things taken care of.

I now just need to make a list of every thing that needs to go so I wont leave anything behind. Getting married 7 hours away is not the easiest but it has saved me alot of money.

I hve every thing packed up in the living room except a coupleof things. So I need to get my list together.

Thanks all of you for you kind words. I can't wait for my day.

If I dont make it back on here before I leave for Maine I just wnat to say THANK YOU ALL!!!! Without all of you I would not have made it through this year. But it is here and it will all be good regardless. See you all soon.

OK a couple of last mins things going on. One of my brides maid ( the one tha tis not staying with me at the moment lol) stopped in tonight and dropped off her dress. Seeing she is meeting us here to drive to maine Thursday she left it here so she didnt have to stuff itin her car just to take it out and then back in again to come back here. My other friend who cant go because of problem with her pregnancy stopped by tonight. I gave her a nice card and a little book about girls being freinds. She was here for a while and I got to show her every thing. She is so bumbed she is going to miss it. But we both know know she would be there in a heart beat if it was possible. I am borrowing her video recorder that has a tri pod so no one has to actualy deal with holding it.

On another note, my phone has been disconnected for some odd reason. We just got the bill, it is not due till the 18th. SO Nicholas is going to deal with that tomorrow. Not sure wha tis up there. The only problem here is that his mom is in the midst of traveling up here. I hope she has his cell number on her.

I got a call from the dress shop. Nicks tux is in. He is going over tomorrow to try it on to be sure every thing fits right. And to pay the balance we owe. We will pick up his tux and our dresses on the way out of town on Thursday. We have to go right by the dress shop so it will be easier that way.

I have to make one more phone call tomorrow and tha tis to the girl who is making the cake for me. I have to make sure she has directions to the town. It takes about 6 to 7 hours to get there. We are leaving noon on Thursday so we will be there in the early evening.

I think every thing else is all set. We just have to put the favors together tomorrow night. After that it is just all the usually decorating and stuff like that the day of.

Oh yeah almost forgot. I will be meeting with my DJ on Friday to go over everything. He tried calling but seeing my phone is not working at the moment no one could get through.

Wish me luck all. I am gonna need it to pull off these next 4 days lol.

And we have to stop and pick up a corsage for my mom. since she was taking care of the flowers for me she got one for Nicholas' mom but not herself. And she is giving me away so a couple of my co-workers ( one of them being a guy ) made some calls and got one ordered and I pick it up on the way out of town.

There is a good chance of a nor-eastern coming through Maine this weekend. If it is raining we will have the ceremony at the reception site. But we will figure that out the day of.

I have not packed yet and dont feel like doing it now with half the people in the house asleep at the moment. I will deal with that first thing in the morning. I want to head out no later then noon. I have stressed this big time. I want to get to my sisters at a decent hour.

Wish me luck all. I have to lead 3 other vehicles who have no idea where they are going all the way to Maine. About 6 hours. This should be fun lol.

Well this will be the last time I am on untill after the wedding. Thanks you all for you help, ideas, advice, etc.

See you all soon.

I AM GETTING MARRIED FINALY!!!

I didn't expect to be able to get on here but I had a second to spare so I thought I would post a quick hello.

Lizabeth just left me about an hour ago. It was so cool to meet her. She is more beautiful and sweet in person then she is on line. I can't thank her enough.

We had one mishap while we were decorating, my sister accendtly broke MY glass. We had to come up with new ones. But it is all good. She felt horrible. She cried when I left for the store. All is good though. It doesnt look like a lot but it took us all day to do it. I am please with it all

The wedding is not going to get to be outside. Too much rain. Even if it is not raining it is still too wet. We are having it at the hall. We have an arch and all is good. If it is not raining the pictures will still be outside. We will see how the day goes.

My daughter of all the kids does not want to walk in. She doesnt want people looking at her. But she is very tired tonight so I am thinking tomorrow when every one is dressed up and all she might be better. The 2 yr ( my nephew ) will be fun. He is so cute. He just runs straight to his dad who is in the wedding. We just have to keep him from the cup cakes lol.

Well Nicholas is off with his family and I am here with mine and my friends.
Gonna have a few drinks and have something to eat and get ready for tomorrow.

I am going to go now before my sister starts yelling for me. My BIL just came in with food.

I wont make it on at all tomorrow. I have to go with my mom to pick up my bouquet and then we have to put the girls bouquets together. Then before we know it it will be time to get our hair down and dressed.

I will talk to you all as soon as I get a chance. Most likley next week.

Don't let her fool you! The hall is beautiful!! It took all day, but it was will be well worth it! It is just beautiful! Why I am still up when I have to be to Gwen's side tomorrow afternoon, I don't know...I really should be in bed, but I had to get on here and let you all know that it is going to be beautiful...I didn't think Gwen would sneak on her.

And yes, her nephew should be very cute...and interesting tomorrow! Her kids are just adorable! Well, I am rambling now, so I will go! I'll come back with some inside info tomorrow night for everyone!
