I have 4 weddings to go in the next few months and I am struggling to decide what to get for the newly weds. Has anyone found a particularly interesting wedding gift? Or do you know where I can look for inspiration?

Gift cards and money are great. Especially if the couple already live together.

I agree a few photo frames that are generic are VERY welcomed. I got about four of them and used everyone of them.. But money and gift cards are great alternatives as well

I agree with the other girls. Gift cards are great. I loved mine. Also picture frames. i love different frames. And I never have enough. I didn't have alot of moeny when my freind got married a month before me. I found a frame that had her wedding colors on it. She loved it and has a wedding picture in it in her living room.

Fondue Sets are clever and cool. They are alot of fun, and you can find them for $20-30. One of my friends once had a $30 electric fondue set on her Target registry. When I went to get it for her, it was on sale for $20. Also, we have a little specialty gourmet goodie shop in our mall. It's called Le Gourmet Chef. They carry lots of cute kitchen/entertaining type gifts including seasonal dish towels and even....cute little themed fondue pots. I think the little fondue pots are mostly made for chocolate and dessert fondue, which is a nice little romantic idea. Also, you could include recipes and write them up real pretty, and maybe include the ingredients too.
I'm sure I sound like a fondue pot informercial, but I love the fondue pot we picked up a few years ago!

The last weddings I went to I got personalized vases. But the vases also have a candle holder thing that you can put in when there arent flowers in it. I'm not sure if that makes any sense without seeing it but here is the website

My sister when she got married; got a picnic basket, it had plates and cups and a blanket and silverware. I think it also had a gift certifcate for subway or something in it. I like the picture frame idea, you can never have too many picture frames. I also like putting together a husband/wife bath set. I get bubble bath and floating candles and few other things like that and put it in a nice basket. I also have done an aromatherapy basket, I went to walmart and got the best smelling candles and some sented oil like you burn in the little pots. I also have done where I have taken their invitation and had it engraved on a 8x10 plaque and then I framed it for them.

I agree that theme gifts, like the picnic basket idea, usually make a big impact without hurting the wallet too bad.

My favourite all time wedding gift was given to me at my first wedding - a Cusinart. if these people aren't very close to you, then it's probably too pricey but I am still using it 20 years later.
Quality knives, towels or bedding is always welcome too.

Postage stamps. FH and I have spent soooo much money on postage already. Once the wedding is over, we're gonna spend a lot more.

Hi, I think that the personalised vases sound like a nice idea and the personalised platters look lovely too. Personalised gifts always seem to be well received because they're so individual. I sell some personalised items on my online store, they were meant to be for the bride & groom to have personalised for themselves and their guests; but I'm surprised how many people personalise the cufflinks or keepsakes with 'Congratulations' and the couple's names. I think it's really sweet! :goodluck: I know it's really difficult finding something that's a bit different but I hope that's given you some inspiration!

My grandparents gave us a kitchenaid; and I LOVE IT, I use it all the time. I went in with my mother in law and got a bread maker for a wedding present once and I also made up some bread mixes to go with it.
