What kind of place settings did you have?

I'm trying to get ideas for place settings and centerpieces. What did your reception tables look like? Did you rent or buy? China? Glass? Plastic?

Our first choice in venues does not supply anything but table and chairs, so I'm trying to scout around to see what looks nice but still fits into our budget.

I found some really nice and thick plastic plates that look like glass. I got them from Sam's Club.

Our venue is providing the table clothes, plates and steam wear. This is not a great photo, but this is what they will look like. BTW those are not my centerpieces.

Good question, thanks for posting it! I'm on a strict budget too, and so we are definitely using plastic utensils/plates/cups. I found the perfect shade of yellow ones (from the dollar tree) for my wedding! We are having a summer wedding, with just finger foods, so I don't have a problem using plastic at all. I haven't decided yet how to set up the tables. I'm going to our venue tonight to take pictures so I will post them so you guys can help me come up with something!

we had a country farm wedding/reception at about 3pm so we just had a barbq buffet,lol. Nothing fancy!! Plastic everything.
